It's me again....I saw a cool dress and I wanted to recolor it (with creator permission) but the texture file is strange to me and i don't know how to go about recoloring it. All of the tutorials that I have seen so far have looked like actual clothing items. This image doesn't and I don't know which part is which. Some recolor attempts have been disastrous at best trying to recolor using this image haha! Any help as to how to recolor this type of texture or even how to make a texture that looks more like the clothing in the tutorials would be super helpful! Link to the texture map I'm referring to link

Feyona yes it was very confusing. I asked @trillyke about it and she looked at the package and sorted it out for me. Long story short, that is the file that exports when I click export texture in Sims4studio. Through lots of trial and error I figured out that the creator just sort of drew a rectangle over the extra areas to color the image like so. dress texture I exported the UV layout and laid it on top of the color and then colored in where the uv layout showed the extra slots were and that colored the dress. Now i'm having other issues.......
