Yesterday I spent the day trying to fix my game. I removed all my CC before the update because I read alot of people having problems with that, deleted all my saves and cache. After the update my game was perfect, however after the EP my game was horrible. I tried to repair it from Origin but that didn't fix the problem, I had to delete the entire "The Sims 4" folder (after save my sims of course). That seems it fixed the worse, but the game doesn't work that good anymore unless I play it with the lowest graphics. I have been playing it with ultra graphics always... It hurts.
About the EP itself... Well, I have mixed feelings. The cats and dogs are excelent, but there aren't many options to choose- I was expecing a bit more since there are only cats and dogs. Same with the objects, so I'm a bit disappointed with that. I played a bit and I loved the interactions/animations. I loved to see my toddler hug the cat, and hear the animal purr (obviously was a "affectionate" cat). I didn't see everything and I didn't try to own a vet yet, but as sillyfeather said- The long wait made me expect... more from it.

Yeah I have to admit, I also lose half the day yesterday to fix my game too. No problem with graphisms, but my sims wouldn't eat anything. I tracked down the problem to Veranka's Ultra Lounge set, and once this removed, everything was working fine.
That really sucks flertzia, I've had some issues with the game, but luckily none that make it unplayable. I have noticed an huge increase in lag and decrease in frame rate. This isn't entirely unusual for me, as my computer at the moment is mid-range, so it is expected sometimes but I have had to lower my settings even more to try and make game-play a little better. At one point, the welcome wagon refused to leave my house after the event had finished and my neighbours started cooking grilled cheese and it was all a bit weird.
As mentioned before they did an incredible job with the cats and dogs, they're super adorable and very entertaining but I do think there should have been more items for the pets. I've already seen the Sims 3 pet object conversions to the Sims 4.
I've also just bought the vet clinic in my current game, which I have mixed feelings about at the moment. Because you have to buy the lot and run it in the same way you would with a restaurant, I just know I'll end up with Sims that just won't do any work and will prioritise getting coffee or something lol.
