Hi, when I go to create a recolour of custom content, I cannot find them. The only options there are, are the base game and the additional content I bought. The version I have is version 3.0.1.9 (Harmony). And also when I open the Sims 4 Studio folder, there is no Mods folder

delete the Sims 4 Studio in documents and relaunch s4s, the folder will be re generated that may fix your problem

are you not supposed to put your mods you want to copy, recolour etc. into the 'Documents/the sims 4 studio/mods' folder and restart TS4 studio program for them to show up?

Got this problem, I tried changed the tried pointer to where my mods are (C:\Users\Owner\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods) but I still can't see any mods, the one I just created or the other 100 or so mods in there. Basically I can only edit game mods not mine or anyone elses?
There doesn't seem to be any Sim4Studio file in the Documents/Mods folder to delete

Damn just worked it out that Sims4Studio has its own mods folder, now its a juggling act shuffling the files between the folders as it allows me to read and merge in the game mod folder but not save :P

If you want to look at and modify CC that you have in your game files, for example, remove an unwanted swatch or change the tags, you should use the My CC button for that. If instead what you want to do is create a brand new package that makes changes to existing CC, for example, a recolor of someone else's item, then you need to use the corresponding new content button on the front screen (depending on whether the item is CAS or an object). The My CC button does not create a clone (a new .package). The other buttons do. To see something on the clone list, you need to put it into your Documents/Sims 4 Studio/Mods folder. Studio looks in that folder when it is assembling the thumbnail list of things to clone. To see something in the My CC list it needs to be in the game files Mods folder.

Thanks orangemittens, that got me on a better track and now I'm learning some stuff I can do in the hopes I'll work out how to do what I can't do.
