What is this?! 1drv.ms/i/s!Avln4Cgl3FuCcGQdZUWEKMyWiEY Sorry, I can't seem to post photos in my posts! Anyway, this happens to a number of other people's CC, and I have quite a few pieces like this! They have this greenish metallic shine on the skin and clothing! It's annoying, especially on really cute things! :( Contacting the creators does nothing because they either don't know, or they don't even answer! Does anyone else encounter this problem?

Hi candyjay. Please find a way to upload a picture of the problem. You can use imgur.com for this.

Imgur doesn't work! The pictures always show up as a little box with an X in it! Does my link not work?

You need to right click on the picture, choose "copy link" and then put in image tags. Image link will have .png or .jpg at the end, depends on the format you saved your picture in.

Here's a mirror for the image - Anyway, this issue is most likely because of a broken specular map. It could be just one piece of CC that has it broken. So, if you know which in particular is causing the issue, you can open it in sims 4 studio, go to the specular texture part and then click 'make blank', and save it.

Here is how you get the link. Also .package file would be needed to tell 100% where the shine comes from. But I am pretty sure that it's normal map. If you made a custom normal map and saved it in .png it would give such result. Redo normal map and save it as .dds, or blank normal map on Studio tab.

I'm going to try the specular thing first. I'm no good at normal maps, every time I make one, it doesn't look right! I have the NVIDIA plug-in for photoshop.

As Feyona said it might actually be the normal map, if you want you could upload the problematic cc .package and someone can look at it for you.

More than just posting pictures.
Please share a .package that you showed in this thread. All advices were given about specific .package based on screenshot that you posted.

The bumpmap texture isn't done correctly. I believe this is a frankenmesh right? then re export the original EA textures and compare those textures to yours. The culprit is the alpha channel, is completely blank when it should be gray scaled and with details. Also, remember to save this texture as .dds dxt 5 with alpha.

Like I said, this is not my creation, this is someone else's, it's by someone named Cepzid. I have other CC with the same problem, some by Zauma, a couple from Curbs, one or two by Genius, and a few others I don't remember the names of. I have no idea how to create or fix the normal map! This hasn't actually happened on my creations so far!
