Hi! I have a question about adding a custom thought balloon icon. What I have now is a custom Interaction tuning linked to a custom Object Tuning. I suppose I have to link a Balloon tuning to the Interaction tuning now right here: <T n="balloon_category">77718<!--balloonCategory_View_Art_thought--></T>So I already imported a balloon tuning and I'm wondering how to add a different icon to this: <T n="key" p="InGame\UI\Icons\Headlines\Final\icon_headline_happy_v1.png">2f7d0004:00000000:e210c057aace9ada</T>I read in a post from Andrew that I only need to add the resource key from the image: In my experience, the p="InGame\...somegamepath.extension" part is not necessary. I removed it, entered my resource key at the end, and it worked fine for me. So I end up with a code that looks like: <T n="key">2f7d0004:00000000:e210c057aace9ada</T> I think? Sooo...I suppose I only need to change this part of the code 2f7d0004:00000000:e210c057aace9ada
But how do I get that code? My guess is creating a new DSTImage and importing the icon I want to use but what group number do I need to use? is "00000000" the group number and the last code the instance? And what is the first number? Is that the type that I need to manually change in the Data tab of the image? >>EDIT<<When using 2f7d0004 as type, the DSTImage became a PNG, so that's good I guess.. I also added a new instance using the hash generator. But when testing in game, a Llama image appears probably suggesting something isn't right. So where did I go wrong?

Share the .package you are working with and we can look into it. From my experience as long as the resource TGI matches the tuning it SHOULD be ok. I could be wrong about this tho.

Share the .package you are working with and we can look into it. From my experience as long as the resource TGI matches the tuning it SHOULD be ok. I could be wrong about this tho. I already got it to work eventually after a long day of trying.. I downloaded these files from this "mod" at MTS: The Sims 4 Ultimate Game Icon Pack
Then what I did was changing the part before the ".png" in this code: T n="key" p="InGame\UI\Icons\Headlines\Final\ icon_headline_happy_v1.png">2f7d0004:00000000:e210c057aace9ada</T> into the name of the icon which I found in one of the files. After that I searched for the instance code of that same image in another folder in one of the files and replaced the end part "e210c057aace9ada" with this new image instance code. When testing it in game, it worked perfectly! The reason it didn't work in my case was probably because the tuning didn't know where to find this image as it normally finds those in some game path.. I think it doesn't work if you just place it into the package file or you will have to change the path or something, but I don't have enough knowledge to make that work. Would still be nice to know of course as that way you should also be able to add custom thought balloon icons instead of one of the icons already in game. Although most of the icons in those files haven't been used at all I think or I just didn't notice them. And they fit the game perfectly of course. So as an EXTRA Question, it would be nice to know if someone knows how to add custom images to the thought balloons by adding them to the package file.

Again... share the .package. It is easier to explain and test using what you are currently working on than to guess.

Right, I'm sorry! Here it is: ---
So what I did for this one is trying to link the added PNG image to the thought balloon, so when the Sim would view the object, the PNG image will appear in the thought balloon instead of Llama image right now.

Have you already got time to take a look at it brujah? I'm making some other mods too at the moment who could definitly use some custom images instead of the one provided by the game.

All fixed! The trick is to NOT import a PNG resource but to import a DST resource. For some reason it doesn't work with PNG resources although the icons EA uses are also PNG resources when looking at the type code: "2f7d0004". But all fixed now! VERY HAPPY!
