Now that EA has released the Mac version for Sims 4 do you all have plans to include the ability to create custom content for that format? The link to Sims 4 Studio for Mac is HERE. Edited to make it easier for people looking for the Mac version to find it.

Sims 4 Studio is now available in a version for Mac. The link is HERE. If you're asking whether Studio will have a version that Mac users can use the answer is not any time in the near future. Until the current incarnation of Studio is perfected this is what the focus is. Studio was written in part on a bootcamped Mac though so it's definitely possible for people with a Mac to use it through Bootcamp.

I have Parallels on my mac and I tried using sims 4 studio but the game path is invalid. Does this mean I can't use sims 4 studio?

Sims 4 Studio will need to be able to find the game files. If you install the game on the Windows side of your Parallels, you should be able to direct Studio to it. I'm unfamiliar with Parallels, and am not sure if you can share your Sims 4 game files from your Mac with the Windows side though.

calaw18, have you looked through the Parallels Desktop User's Guide? It's been years since I've used Parallels and it was an early version, but with the current version there is a chapter in the user guide called 'Share Items Between Mac OS X and Windows' with a subsection 'Share Files and Folders'. If you haven't looked there already, try following those instructions and see if that works. (If it doesn't, that would be useful to know too!)

The reason you get an error is because your game is installed on your mac, so windows doesn't understand. You have to download origin for PC and install the sims 4 again (Meaning you'll have a game to play with on your mac, and a game that imports stuff for you to create cc on windows). :D

I use Sims4Studio with my Mac and Parallels and its working just fine.
What you do is: -Right click your Sims 4 application on your Mac and show package contents -And then you'll travel to Resources folder and search for drive_c folder (if not a drive c folder it might be trans gaming folder if neither search through with next step) -then Program files folder and in there you should see The Sims 4 folder in which S4S uses to identify game files, copy that -With your Parallels open your program files on windows (I'm assuming you use Coherence so that your Mac and your windows partition is shared) -and create an Electronic Arts folder and then copy and past the sims 4 folder into that. Then open s4s through windows and select that as your sims folder
Do not remove it from your Mac just copy and paste. You may or may not get a notice from parallels about sharing and copying files if you haven't already enabled that feature just follow the prompt.
I had to do this back when I created for Sims 3 using TSRW it works.

Welp I'll just be waiting here impatiently until a Mac version of the Sims 4 Studio comes out... All I really wanna do is merge some cc so my game is faster and maybe dabble with cc swatches or something. Parallels looks expensive so I can't buy it, unless theres some way I can get it free.

I doubt there's any legal way to get it free, but it could be worth looking on eBay for cheap 2nd-hand or previous-version copies, which was how I got mine.

You can run Studio on a Mac in several different ways. Give Bootcamp a try...Studio was coded for months on a bootcamped Mac.
