First of all THANK YOU! Being able to recolour in macOS and not needing to run Windows simultaneously is amazing. But I'm not sure of the controls.... In the Windows version I would right click (2 fingers on the trackpad) on the swatch colour then use the eyedropper to choose the colour from the recoloured object but that doesn't seem to work in the Mac version. Is there also a way of moving the object around in the viewer too? I can zoom in and out using the trackpad but not turn it or look down.

Hi bluebellflora, to get the view to pan up and down in the model viewer you can hold down the mouse wheel and move the mouse back and forth. Obviously, this is not optimal but it was the best that could be squeezed out of the code without a long delay in getting Candy Apple out. It was a bit of a rush because the model viewer in the Mac version was completely demolished by the latest Max OS update. To use the eye dropper, left click on the swatch thumbnail (the colored square), and it will bring up a Colors popup box. You can use the preset colors from the wheel or you can select the small eyedropper icon near the bottom left corner of the popup box. That will give you a magnifier circle that you can drag around anywhere on your computer screen. Once you've identified the color you want, left mouse click to select it.

Ah yes, the usual eyedropper tool. Sorry, I'm so used to the Windows version! I don't use a mouse, only a trackpad, and an Apple mouse doesn't have a mouse wheel either. I tried the usual ALT/CMD/CTRL alternatives but nothing worked. Nevermind, just being able to recolour is fantastic

Hi bluebellflora, yes, the model viewer controls are not optimal. We didn't want to hold up Candy Apple's release to get that done though because so many people were unable to use the Mac version at all after updating their OS. The issue will receive attention, though, and all possible optimization will get done.

orangemittens No problem, I understand I'm not able to post in the error report thread here but in Warehouse the images are not showing up in the right hand window when selected on the left: [img src=" " alt=" "] I can see the bump and specular maps under Textures in the Studio view though so presumably I can import and export from there without needing to do anything in Warehouse?

Hi bluebellflora, yes, you can export images from the Studio tab. Do all items have this problem when you click on a resource line in the Warehouse or does it affect only this .package? If the issue is occurring with all items, I suspect something may be going on that is specific to your computer. Even a feature of the UI itself is missing in your screenshot.

Hi orangemittens, it happens with all CC objects and EA objects, everything. I restarted my Mac, nothing else running (no antivirus etc.), tried in a new user account, still happened. My specs are: 2017 15" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar 3.1 GHz Intel Core i7 16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3 Radeon Pro 560 4GB Intel HD Graphics 630 1536 MB macOS High Sierra 10.13 The OS switches to the AMD GPU when using Sims4Studio. If I flick between the Studio and Warehouse tabs a few times it will sometimes flash bright red in the viewing pane in Studio so possibly GPU related. I managed to get it to show in the warehouse tab by alternating between the two tabs finally. Are portions of the UI still missing?

I'm posting here because I am completely new to forums and I can't seem to reply to the 'Report Bugs' thread. (https://imgur.com/a/UMJJ1) So if someone could help me figure that out I could post it there (in the correct section). But I'm finding that I my mesh doesn't preview on the 3d model. I'm not sure how to post photos so I just added links... I haven't used a forum since '08 lol

Hi bluebellflora, in that picture, all elements of the UI are there. I suspect something is going on with your computer. Is everything else up to date on it?
Hi simsibeth, if you post the package, someone can take a look at the issue.

Hi orangemittens, yes my Mac is all up to date. All drivers etc. come through Apple in OS updates so there is nothing for me to manually update. I don't run any antivirus/clean up apps/Firewall etc. so no conflictions there. I updated my game yesterday too.

Hi! I'm trying to create some lipstick cc in studio but I'm having trouble w/ controls. I know how to zoom in and rotate, but I am having trouble zooming in on her face. Is there a control to do this?

The mac version currently has the following controls:
Zoom: Hold the Option key down while scrolling with the mouse wheel. Pan: Scroll the mouse wheel with no key pressed, only up and down. Rotate: Hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse.

Rotate: Hold down the left mouse button and move the mouse. An Apple mouse doesn’t have a scroll wheel, nor the trackpad. Zooming in and out on a trackpad can be done using 2 fingers up and down, the same might be true for an apple mouse.

No idea that the official spool, I dont even know what a mac looks like Not sure what you mean by 'official spool'? Orangemittens has already confirmed above that the viewing controls in Candy Apple have not yet been fully optimised. If you don't even know what a Mac looks like, let alone how to work one, then maybe posting in a Mac specific thread with a standard copy and paste response that you don't fully understand isn't ideal? Granted a lot of Mac users, myself included, use a 3rd party mouse with scroll wheel when using some programs (Windows in a VM or Boot Camp, 3d tools for example) but it would be nice to be able to use the point and click devices that come with our Macs, such as the mouse or trackpad
