I'm following the Sims 2 to 4 conversions tutorial very confusing because she's using two objects, but anyway, I'm trying to follow along the part where you replace the shadow mesh and I did such, but not sure if I did it right, but anyway the tree top of the fan palm is just sticking around chilling and I don't understand how to get rid of it! imgur.com/a/JursF I went into the game and the tree has 0 shadow I would also like to add the texture of the tree leaves will not go transparent no matter what i do image.prntscr.com/image/_zvIKcT2T-GuGVG_FY_Kxg.pngAlso do i need the ground shadow from sims 2?

- Creator Help FAQ.Hi! I suggest you clone an actual palm for your project. Plants already have transparency on by default so that should fix that issue. Also, plants have 2 textures as well. I recommend you read this tutorial on how to properly import meshes. Please be sure that your object has the same amount of mesh groups (with their respective cut numbers) as the original EA mesh. Outdoor plants don't have shadow planes. They do have shadow lods that is all the mesh groups joined into one with cut number 0.

I'm not sure i'm understanding the "wants to use both textures" part.
Outdoor plants slide side to side to mimic wind, not sure either what you meant about "float".
Tutorials are to be followed to learn the general steps on how to do certain things. If you're doing an item that is different from the tutorial then it will not have the same elements. Some objects have more mesh groups than others, and some have glass parts. You have to adapt to each item and apply the knowledge you read from the tutorials. If plants don't have a shadow plane then don't add any, it should resemble the original object.
If you want someone to help you out and check your progress, please add pictures of the issue you have and share the package and .blend files.
How about cloning a bush instead? Any that has leaves and a trunk, for example the red rose bush. I don't remember if those slide with the wind.. i don't think so.

The rose bush worked amazing with the texture, now let me go into the game and see if it has a shadow

Did you clone this bush? Because that one has two textures, but yours has only one. The shadow mesh cut should be 0 not 1. I have a feeling that the package somehow got bugged because the shadow mesh didn't have the correct cut because it looks odd on the warehouse. Can you please fix the cut on the blend to 0, re clone the item, re export the original mesh to check that the groups and cut numbers are correct and test it out?

Sure I'll try that and yes that's the bush, and it had one texture at least for me but I'll give it a try

I apologize! i cloned several plants and got confused with the names. This one was the one that had two textures: "Unkempt Shrubbery, Tall". But that only would fix the textures you wanted, i'm not really sure why the object isn't displaying the shadow properly. Please share the modified blend and package so that someone else can check it out too.
