So I created and textured this mesh: Package
Blend
Everything looks good until I add the matching skirt I made: Package
Blend
Then this happens: linkI am guessing it has something to do with my UV..? Or how I textured the uv? This also happens when I match the top with an EA bottom as well, but not with everything.

hi! you need to use the "share" link from Dropbox instead of copying the address or upload the pictures elsewhere like imgur.com

Holy poo I had no idea! Sorry guys, was just a little frustrated cause I've been working to perfect my meshes and getting caught up like that sucks. In the process of fixing everything!

This is a CAS template. All items that a sim wear at once have to be mapped along this texture, each on their proper place not overlapping with each other or the texture from one will show up on the other. Your skirt is mapped on the same space as your shirt. Here's some things i'm seeing by examining your files: - Due to how the top is mapped, some shoes might override as well (check the template). - The skirt was clone using a nude bottom, i don't suggest using that as a base. That is only useful for exporting nude meshes. I suggest cloning a regular bottom instead to avoid issues with the categories that the nude bottom has. - The blend from the skirt lacks feets and probably other mesh groups. Please export the meshes from the new bottom you'll clone and compare those mesh groups (and cut numbers) so that your blend matches exactly all elements. Here's a simple guide about this. - You textured both skirt and legs black. - Since the legs are barely visible on their top part, you can move the skirt's uv to the top part of the legs and texture it leaving the legs transparent.

I always wondered if I was going wrong cloning a nude bottom, so thank you for pointing that out. I see that I am just not mapping things right. For some reason I assumed putting things down in the bottom right hand corner of the cas uv template was alright. Thanks for your help, I'm going to redo both meshes.

Could you or someone else possibly upload an image of one of your own cas uv maps of clothing for me to reference? It would be greatly appreciated.

I've shared you the template that shows how and where items are placed on my last post. uv spaces are tricky and it's not a set method, you have to play with it and see what it works for you and your items.
