ok so yesterday i'd been using sims 4 studio fine (i don't know what version, sorry) and it suddenly stopped working because i had to update it. all was fine, i uninstalled from control panel and went to download wishes pets beta installer but when i try to install it i get the following messages 1) imgur.com/0RLmlWD 2) imgur.com/gyZ9zNq 3) imgur.com/Nfh4LDqgoogling the error basically tells me to disable mcafee which i do but it doesn't change anything. no matter if i abort, retry or ignore i can't get this thing to download so i located the problem. imgur.com/d9bpgwd i still have sims 4 studio folder in program files 86. all good all good.. so i try and delete it. nope. i need permission. so i'm on the account it tells me i need permission from.. and i'm the administrator. imgur.com/uVH6TDO i allow all privileges and it STILL won't work.  ![]() after spending 2 and a half hours on microsoft support with 2 different people and giving them both dual controls, they told me it's a 3rd party problem and i need to contact the creators of the software i'm trying to uninstall..? |

I am also having this SAME issue. Check my posts as well. I need help. I also need the original version of 3.1.0.1 in order to fix a broken folder where some of the items were able to get deleted, but not all.

Your best option here might be to go to iobit.com. Download Uninstaller 7, it's not a trial, it's a free software with pay options you most likely won't need. The program will allow you to successfully uninstall anything that Windows has mistakenly locked in. Sometimes it takes a third-party monster to beat a third-party monster. For future reference, folks, it's better to use the Zip with the floating folder than an actual installer. There are no uninstall errors that way. You just delete the folder at any time.  |

I'm not familiar with that one. Nice to know it's out there in case all else fails. As for asking the cat, mine would be too psycho to answer questions. The dog would be a better option..lol.

simshapedbox were you able to delete the file? I used the link above, and that was able to solve one problem I was having with another version of sims 4 studio and successfully delete it.

i wasn't :( i downloaded both. uninstaller doesn't class it as an app and the other one once located & i run it it says the object could not be deleted..

i still have some form of hope then! how do i do that? it asks if it should delete it when i reboot my computer but although i click yes it still doesn't. i'm completely stumped, thanks for replying i wasn't :( i downloaded both. uninstaller doesn't class it as an app and the other one once located & i run it it says the object could not be deleted.. I had a lot of problems to uninstall the previous version of s4s so to uninstall it I deleted the s4studio folder from program files and then I run CCleaner and fixed the register issues, after that the s4s was completely uninstaled.
I hope it helps somehow.

Just for future reference, I have never uninstalled a previous version of the software. I just download the installer and update that way. Never had a problem!!!

Never had a problem!!! i really wish that's what i had done. i just figured if i'm downloading a different version.. better delete the old one that i'm not going to be using. it sucks, seems help on here is limited too. |
