It seems like I'm not the only one with the shadow issue. I suspect they changed something with the shaders? Or AO (Ambient Occlusion?) I hope it can be fixed because that backdrop was a precious work of mine xD.
I'm not sure if this is related to the CAS meshes distorting issue mentioned earlier in the thread or if it's a separate problem, but after the new patch(es) long CC shirts on male sims have started to clip below their stomachs. It doesn't even take the body sliders to be maxed for it to happen, but the bigger the sim the more bad it is. At first I thought it was just this one CC shirt, but turns out a lot of long shirts have this problem. Any idea how that could be fixed or if it's something could be made fixable via a batch fix?
leeleesims1 it will probably be up by this weekend. As new reports come in, I'm adding fixes to Studio and that is holding up the release (additions have to be tested).
Kyattchan, thanks for posting the counters with the issue
frostious, that looks very much like it could be the same issue as with the skirts and dresses, but if you send the package, I'll test the batch fix on it to make sure that it also gets fixed with the next version of Studio.
Please do not PM me with modding questions. Post in the Creator Help forum.
First off, I am absolutely blown away at how much work you guys put into helping us fix our CC problems. I am truly grateful.
Second; I don't know if this is related to the patch or if this is just a problem with me. Before the patch i went through all my CC to see what was working and what wasnt and seeing which meshes are missing ect. (It took me over a year), So I just finished today , and almost all of my Masculine CC Tops are gone. There was maybe 5 or 6 that showed up in my game, and all my Masculine sims are walking around topless.
So what I was wondering, is this something to do with the patch? Are other people having this issue? This has stressed me out greatly because I've put so many hours into making sure all the CC in my game works. I'd like to know if anyone else is having this issue or if It's my problem with my game.
Thank you so much ---
EDIT: I forgot to mention, When finished going through my CC, I batch fixed everything I could with the latest version of S4S, and merged those files together. (I have the pre-merged, batchfixed files backed up on my desktop)
Thanks again <3 ---
EDIT2: So I went to the batch fixer back up, and replaced the newer files with the backup files. Seems like mostly? fixed the problem. A lot of Masculine CC shirts are back, and even some Feminine CC shirts i didnt know were missing. I just hope I retrieved all of them, it's hard to tell when i have so many files, I can lose track. I hope this fixed the problem completely. I think what made things go wrong , for some reason, was the disabling for Random CC, that's where a lot of files were in the backup folders. I'm not sure why the Disable for Random caused this issue.
A lot of files were in a "Failed" folder too, so I'm assuming thats where the missing CC was.
andrew The shirt in my screenshots is Peacemaker's Loose and Cut tank top, though the problem is definitely not restricted to this particular shirt, a lot of other long CC shirts have the same problem.
BROKENSims, I've downloaded the package, and I will take a look. Do you have an example or two of the couches that still disappear after running the batch fix? If so, can you PM them to me?
General message to anyone still experiencing issues with items after the patch: Please let us know what items are still not working so they can be batch-fixed. When reporting, please provide an example item that has the problem. It's fine to PM that to me rather than posting it in the thread. We need examples of what's not working so these things can be fixed.
Issues that will be batch-fixed in the next version of Studio include: CAS garments that are borking on larger Sims, round 6-seat dining tables. We don't need examples of these.
Items that have been reported as needing a batch-fix that we still need examples for: toilets, counters, beds and sofas that resist the existing batch-fix, park benches and bathtubs. If you don't have an item like this yourself, please spread the word around so someone who does knows we need an example.
orangemittens, None of my couches work, from the game or cc. Also, none of my cc beds work. I've tried using the batch fixes, but no luck. I haven't yet encountered any other problems.

Hello! I have a problem with weird shadows around objects and by objects I mean a lot of cc objects. Not everything has these bugged shadows, but a good amount has and it's pretty ugly looking. I'm not sure what's causing it. I didn't change my graphic settings and it only occurred after the Pets patch. :<
Also ... some objects are see-through and look very weird somehow too. However if an object is transparent, it normally doesn't have the shadow bug as well, as I can tell so far.
Ugh, I must be doing something wrong here. The sims 4 studio told me it fixed 707 files but still, the couches disappear when placing and I get the "error logged" message. I don't get it. :D Please help?

Hi jumitaa, are you sure the fixed files are in your Mods folder? If you believe that they are, can you send me a package or two that was fixed but is still disappearing in your game? It's fine to PM it to me if you'd rather not post it in the thread.
Please help other creators find Sims 4 Studio and receive the help you received by mentioning Sims 4 Studio with your downloads Please do not PM me with questions about projects or getting Studio to run on your computer. I do not answer these PMs.

I've got good news guys! I've found a way to fix the hairstyles that are appearing darker after the Pets patch (at least it has worked on all my hairstyles that had this issue). There were to kind of problems:
Most of the hairstyles that had this problem didn't have specular and normal map. In this case adding a plain white specular and a plain grey normal has fixed them. This was the case with some of Newsea, Aveira and other creators.
There were 2 hairstyles by Butterflysims that came with specular and normal but still had the issue. What I've done in this case is making the specular and normal blank and saving the packcage, then I've gone into the game (I'm not sure if this step is necessary), closed it and then added a new specular and normal.
