I'm looking for a tutorial on how to change the environment score for paintings. Each time I put in a search, it takes me to posts that say they have used the tutorial, but it does not take me to the actual tutorial. Can anyone help? I would be really grateful.

Hi jannit, the environment score is located in the Object Definition resource. For example, this painting has an in-game environment score of 8: If you only change this, the object catalog will still show the old environment score in the game. To change that to match, you need to change the Object Tooltip Tag in the Object Catalog resource:

Thank you so much for responding. I am a novice and didn't know where to look. Whilst I have been able to change an EA painting environment score from 4 to 10 thanks to your instructions, I now have 2 variations of the painting in game. Would it be safe to delete the original? And how would this be done?
I am just learning how to use the Sims4 studio, so please bear with me.

Hi jannit, if you are trying to change the original painting's environment score, you're probably best off doing this as a default override. If that isn't enough help, could you explain a bit about the two variations you have?

Hello, the original painting has an environment score of 4. I thought I changed the environment score to 10, which did happen, but I've ended up with the original painting environment 4 and a mod of the original painting environment 10. So basically, I have 2 of the same painting in game, one the original EA painting environment 4 and one which is the mod.
I would like to either change the original painting to an environment score 10, but if that's not possible I would like to learn how to delete it and keep the mod. I don't know how to do a default override and would be grateful if you could explain the steps.
Thank you

On the front screen of Studio instead of choosing to create a new mesh, choose Override instead. This will give you a full clone of the EA painting that will override it when you put it in your Mods folder. Change the resources you want to change. Once that is working properly in the game how you want it to, I recommend removing all resources you did not edit especially if you plan to share it. Before doing that, the safest thing to do is make a copy of it just in case you remove something you edited.

Brilliant! I think I've finally got it now. I've changed the environment score of some of the paintings that I like and made copies.
At this stage I'm not intending to share anything as I'm just learning my way around. I will take my time going through all the tutorials.
But for now, a BIG THANKS for your help. It is much appreciated.

I love being able to do this but having to do it individually especially when there are lots of swatches is a bit of nightmare.
Is it possible to change the environment score for all the swatches at once?
