Hey I have just made a mesh and it's saved as a blender file but when I try to import it into the studio it simply won't work and will show the original mesh. I'm still pretty new to this so i'm not very sure on what to do. This is the mesh in Blender This is the mesh I have in Sims 4 Studio

This looks like a potential mesh up in the cut numbers. (We really need a small tutorial dedicated solely on cut numbers.)

Like Zelrish said, you need to adjust the cut numbers of your mesh to the ones from the cloned object so that they're identical; same thing for the shadow. I suggest following along this tutorial, and for the cut number scroll all the way to step 34.

I notice the cut number for the new mesh is 2, but the original is 1. I am sure that is why it is not importing correctly.

Your problem is the cut number. You have entered the wrong cut number just like christinecc4sims pointed out. In your blender view you have a cut number for the chair mesh as 2 instead of 1. Change that number from 2 to 1 and you should be 👌
