if you'd like to skip the step of having to import a s4s model, you can use mine here. just open this as a 3ds scene instead of importing it into yours. the material i used is here. you can then apply it to the mannequin.

Hi, when I import my.obj file into the 3ds max it imports but says that Matlib not found then Material Base Texture and Material Base map aren't found. I'm not sure what I did wrong but it doesn't display the colors on my import.
I wanted to ask, could these steps be used in blender? For the initial meshing of the alpha hair I mean. Currently 3ds Max doesn't work too well on my computer. This does though, look like a great tutorial. I haven't been able to find an alpha tut for blender yet and would really like to try this!
If you are having problems seeing the CAPTCHA, please clear your browser's cache and cookies and ensure that you do not have any browser addons or extensions that interfere with the display of the CAPTCHA. Then, close the CAPTCHA window and click on the register button to open the CAPTCHA again.
