Download sims4 studio and do the batch fix :D I always do batch fixes on my cc before putting it in game cause you never know how old they are. When you gets sims 4 studio and download it go to content management--> objects-> then it will show the batch fixes. highly suggest you do all the batch fixes it has this works for me its how I keep all my cc updated. For those that seem to be having trouble with cc after the batch fixes then you probably shouldn't use them until theres a way to fix them. If you ever get a failed on the results things it means for some reason that object can't be updated. I suggest you get rid of that item as well otherwise your game will have tons of last exception errors and script call fails making it not so fun to play. Contact the creator -if they are still modding and ask them to update the object in question.

So what about the problem now? I have a lot of CC counters that sims cannot use to prep food. can the batchfix be a cause of breakage? I suppose all counters after dishwasher batchfix are unusable for prepping.

I also have this problem. I was playing in a house I hadn't played for a long time using some older CC counters and they just weren't finding them while I was trying to cook something. New CC counters I made myself don't have this problem and official counters don't have this problem. I've applied all the batchfixes in Studio, but they don't seem to do anything.
Edit: I noticed that opening up the CC in Studio, saving, and then closing fixed the problem. Not really ideal, but if you only have a few counters it should be okay.
