Hello, and thanks for checking out my tutorial! =) I plan on making another tutorial for recoloring EA meshes soon, but in this one I will be dealing with my own mesh. Let's start by gathering all the needed resources:
My "Toasty Toesies" mesh: find it in my S4S Studio here.
Paint Shop Pro, Photo Shop, or paint.net. (I use Paint Shop Pro in the tutorial, and I highly recommend it, you can download it and try it free for a month- check here.) If you are using paint.net you will need this plugin to open and edit the .psd image.
Recoloring has become second nature for me at this point, so if I skip over something, or do not clarify enough in the video, feel free to comment below and I will try to help you out ASAP. I also forgot to mention and wanted to note, if you want to use a palette (this won't include Photoshop actions), in PSP, use the dropper tool to select the exact shade, even if its open in a different tab, then you can flood fill the "Color" layer with that color, on my image.
I had to break my video down into 2 parts because the software I used limited me to 15 minutes.
Short Key Reference:
CTRL + V -Paste as New layer
CTRL + D -Deselect
CTRL + C -Copy
Some more links:
The toddler model I used in the video in S4S is by Giulietta Sims (Feyona) and can be found here.
This folder will hold textures to some of my other meshes as well, feel free to download whatever you'd like and recolor, the files are labelled by the .package name they match.
