sims4orlane, the part indicated by the blue box below also needs to be changed. From your picture it looks like you didn't move the tie part of your image up to replace the EA ties. digitaldollies, I'm so glad to read the tutorial worked well for you

Hi stylishsims, I received the .package you sent but it is a hair and not the dress so I'm not sure if you sent the .package you meant to send.

Hi stylishsims, I took a look at the dress and the issue is that you have cloned this as a recolor and recolors do not contain a bump map. They will automatically reference the bump map of whatever item you cloned to make the recolor. Even in CAS your garment shows this bump: What you need to do is reclone the same item but select the Create 3D mesh option instead. Then just import your same textures and the blank bump.

Is possible to import a different bump map for different swatches? I made a whole bunch of welcome mats but to save on having a ton of catalog thumbs I made them all a single package file. However they are all different shapes and textures. I would like to give them a bump map to make them look decent. Thanks in advance.

Yes it is. Since you're working on an object the reference to the bump is in the Model and LOD resources. Duplicate the bump and hash a unique number using Studio's built-in hash tool. Change the bumps instance to your hashed number. Then change the reference number in the MODEL/MODEL LODs resources phong references in the Materials. Ideally you would do this before adding more swatches that use a different bump than the first swatches use so that when you added a new swatch it would use the new bump instead of the old one. That would save time editing in the Warehouse.

Thank you so much for sharing all this info I am trying to understand bump/normal mapping so I can create walls that need a bump map. I understand now what a bump map does I only wish there was a tutorial for PSP users I allways found PS complicated So if anyone knows one I'll gladly like to hear about it

Hi. I HAVE A QUESTION. I MAKE A BUMP AND THEN PUT INTO SIMS4STUDIO BUT WHEN I OPEN THE GAME THE BUM SHOWS IN WHERE I MAPING THE UV ON BLENDER. FOR EXAMPLE. I MAKE A MAP IN BLENDER AND I PUT THE TEXTURE IN A ARM, WHEN I OPEN SIMS4STUDIO AND I PUT THE TEXTURE LOOKS OK.BUT WHEN I PUT A BUMP AND OPEN THE GAME THE BUMP ONLY SHOWS IN THE ARM WHEN I MAKE A TEXTURE KN BLENDER NO IN THE COMPLETE BODY.
