I'm not sure if this is the right thread but I need help finishing up a "bang accessory" I was making for personal use. I haven't done anything with the uv map or anything. I have tried but I have messed up several times on my own so I really need someone's help finishing up. Thank you! PS. I have the blender file and the .dds file from the original mod if that is needed.

Hi, welcome to the forum! Yes, this is the correct place to post your thread. Please describe exactly what issues you're having with your creation. Share a picture of the issue in game, the blend and package file (both) if you want someone to take a look.

Hi thank you for responding! Well one of the problems I'm having is when I put on a hair along with the bangs it overlaps the texture for example: prntscr.com/hpull5 and that's not what I want. This is what it's supposed to look like: prntscr.com/hpur0g I was trying to follow a tutorial and I got stuck on lining up the uv? so I can put my own hair textures. I'm not sure how that works so sorry if I'm confusing I just don't really know how to word it. Also how do I share the files?

Well, if you don't want your mesh to collide with the hairs you put on your sim then you're going to need your creation to be mapped elsewhere and use the space of another accessory. I suggest using the hat space... but whatever space you pick, something it's going to get overlapped. You first do your texture, then open it in blender and move the bang's uv there accordingly. Please check this video tutorial:

I'm still having trouble with the texture and uv mapping. I put it in the hat category but then it showed up invisible in CAS and in the studio so I put it back where it was before and it looked fine but I still the overlapping issue. I'm just having trouble in general getting it done. It's all confusing to me I'm sorry.

As afore mentioned you also need to move the texture in the same place.
The texture needs to be applied on the uv map. If you move the uv you need to move the texture accordingly.
