Last week, after I updated to c&ds, I updated S4S and everything was fine. I was able to make poses and had no errors.
Yesterday, as I opened S4S to start on some poses, I got this error:
Unable to find The Sims 4. Please configure your game path.
So it opens the settings and everything is in order. But I reset the paths anyway, and when I hit save, I get this error:
An error has occurred. Please report this, thanks
The real problem is, after I get passed the Settings and open a new project, the new exported rigs look funky inside blender now, no longer are they textured, just plain, gray sim rigs.
Everything seems to work as normal, until I get the poses in game. At the point, they do the pose, but the sims make continuous sounds and noises and their faces move when they shouldn’t.
I have tested other, older poses, and they work just fine. I have even tried making a pose with an older exported rig, and the pose works, but I still have the above problem.
I have deleted and redownloaded Blender and S4S but so far I have the same issues.
I have not updated the game since c&ds (with the dec patch) but I doubt that should matter. The only other change I have made to my game was adding Reshade.
I have m ade 2 simple poses and tested them in-game, as well as had a friend test them and we both had the same issues.
Would someone mind downloading these test poses and take a look at them to see what I am doing wrong? It seems like there's a sound file or animation overlapping my poses?
DOWNLOAD
Thank you to anyone who can help!!
PROBLEM SOLVED!!
If anyone is curious how I fixed the pose issue, here's how I finally did it.
I was searching through all the help threads and came upon this link: sims4studio.com/thread/7889/adding-angry-sfx-custom-animation
It explains how to add sounds to animations. I just followed it up until the point I got to Events, Edit Items.
I found somehow a sound clip got linked to my poses. I am not sure how this happened, since the rigs were exported straight from s4s. Maybe this is a bug?
Anyway, I just deleted the clip listed under Edit Items, saved, tested my poses in game, and everything works perfectly!
