If the path is correctly set up as shown on the screenshot it should work. Unless you cracked the game. It was working perfectly fine before the update in December.

Sims4studio wont work if you have a cracked version of the game? Please take a moment to read the FORUM RULES. S4S doesn't support pirated versions of the game.

This might not work for you but it worked for me - let me start by saying I use a Macbook Pro so I'm using macOS, not Windows.
The configuration utility needs to know 3 paths: 1. The Sims 4 2. Sims 4 Documents 3. Blender
1. For me the problem was that 'The Sims 4' is not installed in the main Application folder, but under the Applications folder in my Home folder. Click on the browse button and then press CTRL-SHIFT-G (this is the shortcut for go to folder) Now type a tilde character which looks like this ~ (use shift and it's left of the Z on my keyboard). This character means 'my home folder' This should display the contents of your home folder and will show YOUR Applications folder. Double-click into there and if your system is setup like mine, you'll see 'The Sims 4' application so click on that.
2. 'Sims 4 Documents' follow the same as above but instead of clicking into Applications, go to Documents, Electronic Arts, The Sims 4
3. For me Blender IS in the main Applications folder, so click on MacHD and then Applications and then Blender.
The only thing I needed to fix really was the first one as the other two were already correct, but it might helps someone.
P.S - My dad solved this for me and he wants credit so there you go dad.

Lets open this one up again. I've got exactly the same issue with that path which kinda points to Sims game and S4S actually works when I close the path popup but it only finds base game and it doesn't see the EPs. Once I close and reopen S4S again, same popup that it can't find the path. However, if I try to point to the true location, I get "An Error Has Occurred". Help

I am having the same problem. I have the Sims 4 through Origin and it won't let me use that as my path to Sims 4. Can someone explain how to do this!
