Hello. I'm currently stuck on a hair mesh.the problem is that when ever i go to CAS the hair keeps flying out of place. I've already tried the Tranfer weight tutorial but it didn't help much. Also i i already color the vertex with color 007F00. I've also used the add modifier to tranfer the weights. What have I missed please help.

Hi loneresper, If they float, the weights are bad. Please share the blend and package if you want more help.

Hi loneresperLike I first said : weight issue. You have 0 weights assigned on the hair. Please follow this tutorialI would suggest subdividing the reference mesh for a better, smoother transfer. For the Velvet hair the issue is that you did not name the uv map : uv_0 So the game doesn't find the uv map to apply a texture on. Well you have one called uv_0 but it's empty. Just delete the empty uv_0 and rename the one called : UVMap into uv_0

Thanks for the fast reply. I didn't know the weights never transferred to the hair or the uv didn't work. I'll start working on it right away and thanks once again for your help

Hard to say without the package. I see colour on the hair in both cases. So colour means that the uv map was found and the hair texture applied on it. Looks like a specular and maybe normal map could help with the depth but yeah. Cannot help without the updated package or maybe a clearer definition of what you mean by : showing up naked

Hi! Both blends have wrong weights. Please delete all bones (Select each bone from the vertex group list and press the minus button to delete it) and re follow the weight transfer tutorial. If you're using a version that ISN'T 2.70, then follow the CLEAN STEP that is described in the tutorial. Also, please follow how the original hair mesh groups (and cut numbers) are composed. One of your hairs has a hair tie, and that only occupies a separate mesh group. There should only be 3 states (no hat, hat v1, hat v2). You'll have to join the tie with the hair.

The latest blend you shared is the same you linked earlier. I had to re export it from the package. The hair is all weighted to the hair... you didn't follow the weight transfer tutorial properly or didn't used a reference mesh according to the hair you're working with. Since your hair is really long, you have to include a reference mesh that have parts of the body it's touching. You can expand the rig mesh group in your blend file to grab the pieces of body you need. Enable the groups for edit by clicking on the greyed arrows next to the eye on each mesh group: Head and Top (you can even select the bottom part since it touches it as well). Select Top from the list and SHIFT click the Head group from the list. Hover your cursor over the mesh, Press SHIFT+D to duplicate the groups and ALT+P (clear parent) to move them out of the rig mesh group. Press CTRL+J to join. Once joined you can use this as a reference mesh for your weight transfer. If you want a better transfer then follow this SMOOTH TRANSFER TUTORIAL. I'm unsure why it is displaying like that.. i can assume it's because you have a weong UV_1. Please follow this VIDEO TUTORIAL. (blender v2.77 and up) If these don't fix it, please re clone your item again.

OH.I understand you now the hair mesh I used for weight was a short hair. so needed to use a long hair instead. I've probably remake it instead. sorry if I started to bother you.

it's not a bother. using another hair will not help since none are as long as yours. I suggest using body parts as I wrote earlier.
