Hi, i copied a .package file of a door that i've edited from 2 to 3 tiles. But in the game i only see the last edited one (the 3 tiles version). According some search i've done is a problem related to the same id that have both version of the door. How can i change the ID and make the file differents so in the sims 4 can be both loaded and not just one of two? Sorry for my english.

Open pkg in Sims 4 Studio and go to warehouse tab. Change instance id of object definition and object catalog. I usually just take my new object name, add it to hash generator tool and renumber instance id with hexidecimal 32 value of new name

Hi! you have to clone a base game item each time you want to create an independent object. saving the package as "something else" isn't going to do that. I suggest re doing those two last packages again from scratch to avoid confusions.

How can i clone a base game item and after import the object (that is a cc) in this?

oh alright! You'll have to place the original door package inside the S4S' mods folder (see guide below) and do a stand-alone recolor to clone the item. then you can edit the door. if you'd like another door, you'll have to clone it again each time. the original door has to be present in your game's mods folder for the others to work. Please read this GUIDE: sims4studio.forums.net/thread/397/create-standalone-recolor-custom-content?page=1

To get your custom content to display for cloning put a copy of the CC in the Sims 4 Studio nods folder. Mine is located at C:\Users\Owner\Documents\Sims 4 Studio\Mods

Them are already there but in the sims 4 studi aren’t shown anyway (and i’ve set the mods folder in sims4studio setting too) I am not sure you noticed Leniad is not talking about the classic normal path for mods where you link s4s to your mod folder. He is talking about the mod folder located inside STUDIO where you need to copy custom/already existing content if you want to be able to clone them from Studio. Like he said it is located under (my) Documents\ Sims 4 Studio\Mods You need to copy CC in there then, close S4S, start S4S again so that it loads the additionnal CC. And then if you click on create mesh for example, you can use the filter : Custom content and you will see what you added to that folder. Which will allow you to clone CC instead of modifying the exiting one.
