Hello, I'm new here, and also new to modding CC for Sims 4 (have done some Sims 2 stuff long ago). I decided I wanted to try and learn some 3d modeling as a hobby and thought I'd start by taking a mesh model from a different game and see if I can get it loaded into S4. The mesh itself appears to work in the game with weights loading correctly, the flower's texture is always fine but the texture in game for the hair has these strange patches on it (as seen in attached photos) that are not in the texture file I made for it and don't show up in either the in game hair thumbnail, Blender or S4Studio. Might the problem be due to the modified mesh having had been attached to a different texture file before I gave it a new one? If anyone could help me figure through this or point me to a tutorial that can help I would be much obliged. Thanks

Hi nukumnehtar, welcome to the forum. We cannot see your images unfortunately (right issue) Please share them using a hosting pic website such as imgur or such. You might also want to share the package and blend so we can have a better look at it.

Thanks for the tips on the photos, I'll upload the package file when I get home from work later. Thanks!

My first guess would be that your uv goes out of the boundaries reserved for the hair. But hard to be sure without the .blend and package could also be a specular issue

Seems I got it working. Decided to start from the beginning and wipe the hair mesh of the original texture before importing it into the Sims 4 blender file. That seems to have got it working in game now. Thanks for the help and advice! However I do have another question: What is the easiest way to go about recoloring the hair texture in photoshop? Are there any settings or plugins that would make color overlay or changes less complex?
