Hi everyone! I'm suddenly having a problem where when I export a texture, recolor it, and try to import it, it says. "Your image size is 2048x4145. The game requires 1024x2048. Please fix this and import again." But checking in photoshop it is the correct size??

the game requires 1024x2048. or if you want to times it by 2, you can use the dimensions 2048x4096.

I haven't changed the dimensions at all. When I try to change the color of the texture and try to import it tells me that the size has changed. But if I revert the texture to its original color and import it, I don't have that error. The image properties show that it is 1024x2048. I've never had this error before.

Hi! Can you share your files? Package, original texture and post-edited texture?

Hey all,
Replying to this thread because I too am having this problem. My image is 1024x2048. When I try to import it (recolour of a basegame clothes item), it says my image is 1025x2048.
It definitely isn't; I've checked in GIMP, and I've also experimentally made a copy that's 1023 pixels wide and get the same error (i.e. the program couldn't tell the picture was now a bit smaller).
Reinstalling S4S had no effect. Anyone got ideas?

Perfect, thank you. For future note, I was using .dds. Saving it as .png and it imported properly. Cheers

I was also using .dds. I think and then I switched it to .png and it has imported! Thank you! :D

I'm having the image size issue too. So this is my first piece of cc ever being made (its an eyeshadow), but i cant successfully import my drawing. The pixel size is how its asked to be given, and its a png file. I tried using a dds format but that did nothing, and i uninstalled and reinstalled s4s. Nothing is working and i need help ;-;

Thank you for the reply! Two questions.. how would i convert the png to dds, and is there any way i can solve this problem but still keep the file a png? Usually there is no need to use dds for anything other than shadow maps, but if you are sure you’re importing the right size but s4s is still giving you errors, then you should try importing the file in a different format.
