Alright I've been trying to figure this out myself but I am running out of options so I'm turning to you all. So as you can see the mesh is moving with the fat/muscle slider, but not with the push/pull of the various parts of the body. The mesh has a UV1, is weight painted and vertex painted. So what am I missing? I'm sure it's something very stupid and my brain is just fried. Any help is appreciated :D PS if anybody would like to check out the file: www.simfileshare.net/download/468378/

this could be an issue with uv_1 and weights. please look at this tutorial for how to properly create a uv_1 and then this one on how to transfer weights. if you still have issues after looking at these two threads please share the blend file.

Hey Anna,
Yeah as I mentioned in the original post, I did make a uv1 and weight painted the mesh. The methods you linked are the ones I've always used. I've double checked everything, and to me the uv1 and weights both look normal to me, but I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.
The file is already in the original post.

lol sorry i meant package file you have some weights that aren't necessary, like the skirt vertex groups. i suggest deleting all vertex groups and redoing your weight transfer with some EA base game jeans

The skirt group was already in the Maxis item I cloned, this bad boy: But just to be sure I also tried a different item (the base game white leather pants) that do not have the skirt group, and the result is the same.

i put it in my game and i didn't have this problem. see if it's custom content interfering with the mesh. if that's not the case, are you using the masculine or feminine figure? if you're using the masculine frame you will have to create a new mesh circled around that model

Your vertex paint is an incorrect color, it's bright green but hex number is different. Enter 00FF00 and this will fix a problem. You'll just need to manually adjust uv1 here and there to fix clipping on the waist. Also you might want to change sort later number (for each cas part) to 14000 so texture of high boots won't appear on jeans.

There we go! Changing the vertex color finally fixed it. I thought I had eyedropped it from the reference mesh but I guess I must have messed up.
And yup, it's still a WIP so I'll have to adjust sort numbers/categories/etc, but I really couldn't figure out why the mesh wasn't moving with the sliders. Thank you, Feyona!

You're welcome! Yes, sometimes eyedrop tool doesn't pick up correct color, and you can't really see that it's different because it looks the same as correct bright green. To pick right color I switch to wireframe view in vertex paint mode, this way it's easier to pick up right color than just in solid view.

Feyona thank you! I had a similar problem and I was going crazy because the mesh worked before I adjusted the uv_01 a little, I thought I messed up everything xD thank you again!
