General answer is that you can merge vertices together by selecting 2 vertices in vertex select mode, ALT+M and choose "at center" or any other option that suits best. Also you can use "remove doubles" option and adjust Merge Distance. Remove doubles is located on Tools panel (shortcut T). You can do it in any mode (vertex, edge, face).
If this isn't what you asked about, please show an example. Also if you have an actual project it would be helpful to post .blend.

If you are having problems seeing the CAPTCHA, please clear your browser's cache and cookies and ensure that you do not have any browser addons or extensions that interfere with the display of the CAPTCHA. Then, close the CAPTCHA window and click on the register button to open the CAPTCHA again.
