Is there a way to fix this the way the leaves show up so dark? I tried removing the vertex paint but then the leaves sway all together and slide off the trunk lol

Check your mesh normals, that might be it!

The normals look fine. I think it's all plants because this happens when I try to upload a new mesh to a harvestable as well.

Hi BL! I hope that this is something useful to you and not more of me blathering about something that you already know...
If I am not mistaken, what you have already tried is all good & fine, and definitely a part of what you need to be doing, but the problem lies in two different places:
1) when I myself take a Build available (or DB) plant (tree) into any CC that I am making, I learned the hard way - as I have mentioned to you in PMs, that it seems to be completely necessary to use a plant/tree to clone from one that does NOT use the animated tree shader. My go-to tree for that is one of the DB Japanese Beech trees, as it does not use the animated tree shader, and has all of the right cuts.
2) after ensuring that you are avoiding the animated tree shader, you have already done the next steps required - in 'blanking out' the vertex shaders on the mesh. (I tend to use all white for the leaves and all black for the trunk). But, often there is a declaration within the mesh in Warehouse that tells the game to use a particular specular shading on the leaves, as well... Make sure that there are no suspicious things such as giving a specular tint such as R 0.6 G 0.9 B 0.7, etc. Quite a PITA to go through all of the steps - that bonsai project was definitely a Labour of Love...
I would have simply PM'd you, but wrote it here in case anyone else was wondering...

Does anyone know if this issue was fixed on EA's end? I believe I saw a post somewhere that said it was. If so is there a way to update my older files to fix this issue?
