Hello! In Sims 2 and 3 I was in love with snow and rain and now I wonder if Electronic Arts will release a "Seasons" pack. Sims 4 was released 4 years ago and I see no seasons coming, I begin to lose hope. Are you as pessimistic as me?
And functional spiral stairs???
Thank you in advance for sharing what you think.

supposedly someone from EA support leaked that seasons was in the works.. so my guess is that yes. BUT, I honestly don't have too many expectations... they've been cutting out content that used to be on one single expansion.. to either left it as it is or scatter it in several packs. so... that's not cool..

That's what greediness does. And I think they purposely do that because they figured out that any pack released will sure fetch them some money. So why release the full pack when we can sure do that in batches. Those guys are sure manipulating we the Sims lovers

Thank you, Inabadromance. You give me some hope back, even if everything remains unsure with EA's future decisions. In my best days ( ) I keep dreaming from a final stuff pack releasing all things that we used to love and that were removed from Sims 4.
Edit: Thank you AdonisPluto. As I posted this message I didn't yet see your reply.

I really want seasons to happen too, on one hand i'm not very hopeful about it but on the other hand, it's been talked so much that i kinda think we will get it at some point.

I agree with the first posts, I think EA will release Seasons at some time but they`re most likely doing it by chunks. Like Winter Content Pack!, Then a Spring one, and a fall one, and then summer!! It's rather pathetic but you never know with EA.

If they decide to release it the way you describe Math that will be some stuff pack then... themed with seasons. I don't see then enabling a specific kind of weather only for one season. If they have to implement the system, it'd be better to do it fully.
Although season stuff packs could really become a sad reality seeing how it goes.

I get confused with all these names. Stuff pack, Game pack, expansion pack... It used to be only one expansion pack and it covered all we needed. This splitting is just annoying and unnecessary to me. Although I mostly use my time creating things rather than playing Sims 3 was real fun to me, I had so much fun that it inspired me to start creating. Sims 4 is a different story, I got the game, a few expansion and it bored me to dead. It still does, I cannot play more than an hour without losing interest. I have fun creating for it, but only because I enjoy the creating process (which I could do for any other game really). The game doesn't inspire a bit to keep creating content to it...
Time passes on and they keep bringing this empty packs that bring nothing new or refreshing. The only thing I appreciate for Sims 4 is the aesthetics, they really put some work on it, but it gets all forgotten with the crappy gameplay. You have a great scenery with for taking pictures and that's it. The worlds are 70% decorative stuff, that look amazing but you cannot do anything with it.
Anyways, sorry to rant about it :P

Well, that's the whole issue. They try to disguise the lack of content through split expansion packs. Therefore we get pieces of content here and there and people get exited instead of boycotting the 2 new objects for 20$. They just milk their customers as much they can. It's EA they do it with ALL their games. This is absolutely pathetic. If there ever is a sims 5 you can be 100% sure there will be micro transactions inside the game to milk people even more. Unfortunately the generation smart phone still pay for that, cause they don't know otherwise. Sad, as it cost a crazy amount of money in the end.
And about the gameplay from the sims 4 I agree 100%. Sometimes I think about playing and then... nope, just gonna keep creating characters in my game but will not play them. It is too boring

... If there ever is a sims 5 you can be 100% sure there will be micro transactions inside the game to milk people even more. ... I think that they planned for micro transactions in Sims 4. They have a resource for it, MTX is an abbreviation for micro transaction. It lists various content sets with prices (though their prices are set to zero).

I am not sure I should "like" your comment andrew -___- Well, I guess we can be "happy" that they didn't go live with those for TS4 then. Kinda wondering on what kind of content they would implement them though. Sadly, classic is to go for cosmetic in games. But with the sims? They would need to disable the mods then. Or they would not sell much. But then without mod, the game would die at release. hum, am kinda curious.

personally I don't mind the splitting of packs because yes they split the packs but they seem to enhance each game play aspect ie vampires (they can do so much compared to sims 3 and sims 2 vampires). Also with every stuff pack we get 1 or 2 new game play items, that never happened in the sims 3, we have game packs to cover fully what used to be side things which is probably why vampires are so good. However I have to admit the expansions are pretty lack luster and the lack of open world really gets to me. I'm hoping the big announcement is that they will be adding open world and cast to sims, I don't believe it will happen but it would be nice.

Hourrah!!! We'll get Seasons ( in French it will be "Saisons"). I just got a message from EA, it was a huge surprise. But I am not sure about the release date. Some people say that it will be in september, other that it will be released on june 22th. Besides we'll get "Create A Style" back.
