So, like many people, I am also annoyed that EA doesn't make a seperate accessory for hair accessories. I thought doing it myself would be a great idea. I started it and after many trial and errors, I got to a point where I thought that it will work. When I went into game to test it and put the hat on my sim, the hair disappeared. I'm not a complete beginner in Blender but I'm not great either, basically, I can move around, use edit mode pretty well and that's it. If anyone can help me, link me a tutorial or anything, that would be greatly appreciated!

Hi! You have to clone a head accessory and import your mesh into that package. I suggest some earrings and then you can change the category to which ever you want. I suggest first export the origina blend of the accessory to corroborate that the meshgroups and cut numbers match. Please read THIS TUTORIAL.

Ok, so I'm not sure if I did something wrong or something, but I tried it with the Jungle Adventure hair. In S4S, it looked pretty good, but when I went into game and put it on my sims the only thing that happened was that the texture of the headband on the original hair changed a tiiiny bit. I'm still pretty much a noob, so sorry if I made a really silly mistake. Download the package here.

can you explain exactly what is it that you want to do? you can't put a headband over a headband... or you want to JUST recolor the headband? then you need to clone a pair of gloves that don't have any mesh and just add the texture ONLY for the headband.
the tutorial I linked is for creating a standalone accessory. not for using it with a hair that already has it.

Ok, I'm really dumb, I'm sorry, but I've run into a problem again. I probably made another stupid mistake, but here's the package. I think I did everything as you suggested, so I don't know what went wrong, but when I opened my game and put the hat on my sims nothing happened. Oh and I want to recolor the headband, sorry for being unclear before.
