is this an error for s4s or for sims 4? if it's an issue with the sims 4 game itself, there is no reason at all to post on the error report thread about your issue. if it's an error with s4s showing cas items after you click to create something, it could be that your game file path isn't set up correctly or you're looking in the wrong place. i also edited your thread so the name was more descriptive and so the font wasn't so large and obnoxious.

retired simmer the error message in your logs says that a file that Studio needs to use is being used by something else. Since the file is one that is created by Studio and should only be used by Studio, it either means that somehow you have a crashed Studio that is still alive somehow and you need to end it from the task manager, or you have aggressive anti-virus software that is withholding the file from Studio. The simplest solution may be to just restart your computer. That for sure would close any programs that are using Studio's file.

restarted the computer, completely un-installed sims 4 studio and re installed. still blank. no grid-lines nothing.

When you uninstalled Studio, did you also delete the Sims 4 Studio from your Documents folder? If not, try closing Studio, delete your Documents/Sims 4 Studio/ folder and start Studio again. Also make sure that Studio has the correct location for your game files. If you have recently moved your game files, but Studio still thinks that they are in the original place, it could be that Studio can no longer find the meshes to show you a preview.

I deleted the folder and checked the location but for some odd reason I kept getting this error

I made sure I had no other sims 4 studio's. I decided to uninstall and reinstall the game. I was already having issues with textures so when it's all done ill recheck again to see if that helped. The sim mesh shows in blender. I just cant see it in the view in sims 4 studio. I also tried opening objects but still nothing on the screen :-/

Hi Altered_Contagion, as you know, the error in your post above is saying that something on your computer is blocking Studio's access to a file that Studio creates itself for its own use. In and of itself, this indicates there is an unusual situation going on in your system. In your first post, you seemed to be saying that you've used Studio in the past with no problem, and suddenly you are now unable to view any model in the model viewer. Is that the case? If so, this would suggest that something changed on your machine between the time when Studio was able to display a model and successfully gain access to its file and now when it is not able to either reliably. In that case, the question becomes - what changed on your machine in that interval? Unfortunately, no one here is going to be able to answer that question except for you. A missing CAS model in the model viewer typically indicates that Studio is not able to access your game files. The same is not necessarily true of objects. Which objects did you try to open that did not show up?

Please help other creators find Sims 4 Studio and receive the help you received by mentioning Sims 4 Studio with your downloads

I tried to open hammy cage, a dresser, then I tried to open a wall just to see if it would work but it was still blank. working on recoloring the cage a few days ago was the last thing I did before stuff wouldn't show on the screen anymore.
