This was one of my recent rambles that I thought I'd share here amongst you far better creators (and even modders).
That being said, I have no knowledge of modding! So I'm really talking from my bum here.
I know that during the first few months after the Sims 4 was released, the height slider/mod issue was addressed and I believe someone explained that it would either be impossible or extremely hard to do (I have bad memory).
But would it be possible to extract the files (I’m just saying files because I have no idea what you’ll actually need to take) from the push and pull function of a body part like the mouth or eyes (or any part that you can control the height and width of), and then apply it to or replace the push and pull function of a body part that could involve the height of a sim (like the waist, hips, chest, shoulder, neck, and possibly even head)?
That way we can still control the width of those body parts, but now we can also control the height of them.
Is that possible? Am I crazy? I’m just curious.
Because there was already a mod that allowed you to surpass the push and pull limits (resulting in hilarious sims with giant bodies and heads), so I already know that we can alter the files.
But would altering them to allow a body part to have an up and down function as well be possible?
I also know that someone has already created a torso mesh override (giving males hip bones and females a breast crease), so would it be possible to create a mesh override that either heightens or shortens the torso?
Again, just rambling and curious.
