Hi Simmers, I am new here and I have a problem.
Earlier this week I install sims4studio and read very much about this and the possibilities.
In the beginning was the model after recolor not white and had the normal structure. Two days ago the model was white with no structure when I was ready with recolor the cas item after Import the item.
I found a thread here on this forum and read, but I don't understand/ know what to do.
I have a hour ago uninstall sims4studio and re-install a new one from this site, I tested, but the model is all over white. I use windows, paint.net and also png files and have all packages of Sims 4.
I hope anyone can help me with this?
Sorry for my bad English, I am from the Netherlands.
Thanks,
Lovesims62

I think it is an issue with texture. Export texture, make white area transparent and re-import

Hi lovesims62, I agree with Leniad. When you make a CAS recolor, if you export the original texture, you will notice there is a very large area of the texture that has a checkerboard texture in Paint.net. These areas of the image will be skin-colored in the game. If you fill the checkerboard area with solid white, instead of skin color, those areas will be solid white. The way to fix this is to be sure the only part of the image that has non-checkerboard texture is the part that you are recoloring. The rest of the image should be left alone so it stays transparent.

Leniad and orangemittens, thanks for the reactions. I did what Leniad said, make the white area transparent and re-import it in sims4studio, but it didn't help, the model stays white. Then i make a new tshirt file and try again with help of a you-tube tutorial. I made pictures and uploaded these to Photobucket. See pictures. The model stays already whith white texture. I do not understand. The rest of the image stays transparent. What can i do next? Do i something wrong? I create a new tshirt before coloring, i give the color purple in paint.net. And then Imported the recolor in Sims4studio, but the model stays white. I followed a you tube tutorial "The Sims 4 - Recoloring Tutorial (using S4S and Paint) by rebeccasnotcool. Thanks for the help... I hope the two links works. lovesims62

Hi! Please both files, the package and the image texture. You need to upload them somewhere else and then paste the SHARING link here for us to see. I suggest using dropbox, mediafire, onedrive, simfileshare. HERE's a tutorial for one drive but it applies to any website. I'm assuming that the issue here is how you're saving the texture. You should save it as png with transparency or dds with alpha if you're working with dds.

Where are you trying to post image? I suggest setting an account at imgur.com set up account and then upload your image click on the added image and copy the direct link come to Sims 4 Studio and select icon for link, and paste the link

the user is trying to paste a file link not an image XD.
just paste the link directly, don't use the link button from the forum. if you didn't understand onedrive you can use any of the other I suggested. or re read the ritual I linked to see if you're copying the link correctly.

Leniad and inabadromanceIt gets confusing. Earlier today i install GIMP and tested the same t-shirt to recolor with the instructions of a you-tube totorial and imported the new color. It was going ok. The model in sims4studio had now the real skin texture. Something in paint.net goes wrong. I will try again with paint.net and the links, or what i can do( I assume, is for me less difficult, i think) is uninstall paint.net and download/reinstall paint.net again. Thanks for your help. lovesims62

Hi everyone,
I have found the solution, after study several you-tube tutorials.
After recoloring a cas object and option FILE and SAVE AS, a little window will appear "settings save"
and below is a button DEFAULT VALUES. When i click on that button the background becomes transparent. Then click OK.
After that i go into sims4studio and IMPORT that file and yes, my model have now a skin texture.
Everyone thanks for the help.
