Hello! A few days ago I tried making some new custom contents. After I made one and tested in game, it was broken. I'm that kind of person who left that behind and start a new one. So that goes on until I made 3 broken custom contents. Those three look good in Blender and Sims 4 Studio, but everytime I test in game it's broken. It'd be great if anyone know why these happened and the solution, thank you! ADDITIONAL INFO: 1. The three CCs are frankenmesh. 2. I use "yfTop_Camisole" or "yfBody_Chemise" as the original package to be replaced 3. The left picture is in Sims 4 Studio, the right picture is in game (CAS) 4. You can download the file here: FILE 1 FILE 2 FILE 3

hi! Thank you for taking the time to do such helpful screens, that makes it easier for us to help out! Can you please share the individual blend files as well? edit: I'm still going to export the files on my own, but it's best to see the originals prior import. FOR THE FIRST ONE:The weight looks off so you'll have to re do the weights. I suggest doing any type of transfer ONLY to clothing pieces. So disable limit selection in edit mode (underlined at the bottom). Hover each skin body part and press L to select it (since you're at it, press "remove doubles" to fix all the broken seams). Once everything is selected as shown below, press P and "selection" to separate into a new group. Then do the WEIGHT TRANSFER (if you're using blender 2.70, you're good.If you're using anything above that version, don't forget the CLEAN step) of the clothing mesh group using the body chemise as reference mesh. Once you're done, join both groups. ‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵
FOR THE SECOND ONE:I'm not sure how it happened >.< BUT, you have two set of skin parts that are overlapping. I moved them around so you could see each one. What you should do is, have limit selection disabled and use L (as explained above) to first select the one you want to keep. Just hover each part and it will be the first that you'll be able to select (remove doubles to fix seams). Once you have that select (the one i moved to the right) press H to hide. Now select the the skin pieces that are left to delete them. To unhide what was hidden press ALT+H. ‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵FOR THE THIRD ONE.I'm not seeing any particular issue in the weight, BUT the package you're using to import your mesh might have a different weight arrangement, so i suggest re doing the weights following the explanation from the first mesh. Separate skin from clothing, remove doubles, re weight using the body chemise as reference and then join. ‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵‿︵ Let me know if there's anything you don't understand or if you need further assistance If it all goes well let us know too!

Hello! Thank you for your respond. I'm sorry I hope you don't mind I ask you some more because I don't understand some of your excellent guide. 1. I've clicked remove doubles and separated the mesh group, but I don't really understand the weight transfer. I followed the steps in the link you mentioned, but I don't know how to or what to choose when "Transfer Weight" based on the body chemise as reference mesh. 2. It's working now! Thank you! 3. Same as the first one Once again, thank you!

I'm glad the second one is working as expected!
what step in particular from the weight transfer tutorial are you stuck in? the tutorial uses EA's original mesh as reference mesh (aka, the mesh blender is going to use to transfer weight from). thus, you should use EA's original chemise body mesh from the package you first cloned as reference mesh.

I'm afraid I don't know what to do next after I click "Transfer Weights" :(

once you click transfer weights, the weights are already transferred. so that is that. what version of blender are you using? depending on it you do the clean step or not as I mentioned earlier. there's one step I forgot to mention though, I deeply apologize! since your clothing already had weights, it is suggested to delete all bones before doing the transfer to avoid extra bones or wrongly weighted vertices. you have to head over to the data tab, select the first bone and click the minus button on the side until you no longer see any bones.and then follow the weight transfer tutorial. docs.blender.org/manual/en/dev/_images/modeling_meshes_properties_vertex-groups_assigning-vertex-group_empty.pngif you're still having issues please share the blend file so I can check it out

Unfortunately after I had done that, this happened :( Should I transfer weight to the body part too, no? Thank you!

I'm assuming you deleted the bones on all the mesh. you should delete only from the mesh group you're going to do the transfer to. in this case the clothing mesh group. the body parts must not be touch at all.

what version of blender are you using? are you doing the transfer in version 2.70, 2.76, or 2.78? try doing the transfer in 2.70 again after you delete all vertex groups.

Thank you so much @jwofles ! It looks fine from the front view now, I was really happy when I saw that. But sadly when I check the slider & rotate the view, it still have problems :( @ annabluu I just check I'm using 2.76, should I download the 2.70?

yes. try transferring with 2.70 and see if there's any differences.

I think you need to merge the vertices around the problem area to close up the tiny holes in the mesh (as the sliders make the holes super obvious as it's scaled up). And about the weight transfers, 2.70 is much easier and harder to mess it up whereas 2.76+ you have to jump through a few hoops to do it (that's why 2.70 is recommended).
