Ever since I updated to Cats & Dogs, I've been having insane problems trying to get the game to work... The issues seem to be graphics related.
I've done all sorts reinstallations, updates, cache clears, removing all cc...
Once I start adding back CC gradually, it may randomly seem OK but then one day you launch the game and it's all bugged up despite of having been fine on the previous time. A small group of CC I test there is fine, but then afterwards it isn't, and I don't know how to try to sort it anymore... I don't even use script mods and I have run all the batch fixes with S4S but I'm losing hope.
One thing that comes to mind is that, before updating, I had been processing all of my CC to sort and tag them correctly. Is it possible that deleting swatches or changing tags could've bugged up the packages? Is it possible to tag in too much detail so the package causes the game not to work? For example, for each hair swatch, you have to have a different tag for their colors. But are there risks in other tag categories, if you tag different swatches of the same package differently? I don't know if this makes any sense at all, I'm just trying to figure out why the game is impossible to play with any CC now. Even simple CC that was supposed to be safe - make-up or skin overlays - can now cause issues.
My hardware is well capable of running TS4 in 64 bits.
