So I'm trying to make a dress but the uv texture on the nude body is not right. It's the texture of the sim. I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing wrong. Or if someone could give me steps on how to do a dress mesh that would be so helpful. The tutorial I'm following is for a shirt only and I can't seem to find any tutorial on a dress. What I did was I joined the top mesh and bottom mesh together.
<----- The video I was using.

So basically I'm trying to create a dress for sims 4 but I'm not exactly sure how to do that. I'm not sure how to include both of the nude top and nude bottom. The tutorials I've been following just show how to make tops.

For fullbody outfits you just clone a swimsuit, and append both the nude bottom and top mesh, and then join it all together. Which part are you having problems with?

When I joined the top and bottom together that texture showed up on it when I clicked on it. I'm not sure if that's suppose to happen or not.

aren't swimsuits composed by three meshgroups? top, and 2 leg parts. you export the mesh, open it in blender and append your dress mesh.
before joining your mesh to the top meshgroup both uvs need to be named properly. uv_0 and uv_1. I recommend finishing ALL your project before joining clothing to body parts. say, weights/ vertex paint & uv_1.

If you're still having trouble, here are the steps -> 1. clone this (thx slyd for pic) 2. export .blend 3. open the .blend, delete the chemise mesh 4. download this5. go to file at the top, then append, then navigate to the LODpack/fem/top_lod0.blend, then find s4studio_mesh_1 and add it in, and do the same for fem/legs_lod0.blend 6. shift + click on them to select both of them, then press ctrl+j to join them. 7. finally import your mesh and ctrl + j to join it to the other parts (either append your dress from the old .blend or import the .obj) 8. you should be left with just s4studio_mesh_1 (you can rename this if the name changed) and with the 'cut number' at 0000 (as it should be, if it's not, change it to 0000). Hope this gets it working
