Hey, I was wondering is it possible to get a normal map into a skin detail or something like that? I was testing it out and I could only use a normal map on a custom mesh which means I can't put a normal map onto the face. So I'm just asking is something that you just can't do on sims 4 or is it a limitation of s4studio? Thanks.

ummm I honestly have never done that but have you tried cloning a pair of gloves and changing the category/composition method ? I'm on mobile, not sure if gloves have bump >.< I think they should.

You can do it. I've done it before, but I forgot how to do it. I think it had something to do with changing the Material Bump Map in the Warehouse section to a blank mesh.

I've tried gloves, necklaces, bracelets etc. None of them worked and none of them had normal maps. The only things that EA put normal maps on are clothing + shoes it seems. However, it turned out the normal map had to be on the clothing mesh, so for example, if I had a normal map for the whole body, and the only mesh in the package was the top of a sim (torso bit whatever), then the normal map only shows up there. You can do it. I've done it before, but I forgot how to do it. I think it had something to do with changing the Material Bump Map in the Warehouse section to a blank mesh. Hmm I haven't poked around in the warehouse a whole lot so I'll take another look. Anyway, this isn't something I have to find out, just thought normal maps skins would be pretty cool so i was just playing around with it :P
