...A one-size-fits-all solution would be quicker to do but may leave a lot of people unsatisfied with the results. A question about the eventual UI change that needs the user to decide what to tag it as. Will this only deal with Hot/Cold tags or other tags too. Say for example I have multiple “short dresses” that have been mistagged as “lingerie”, will there be an option to batch fix a specific folder filled with the items I want to re-tag?

The Seasons tags fix will be first since it's a bit of an emergency for some players. After that, we can look into expanding the use of the UI to other kinds of batch fix.

I've been having tagging issues since seasons. I opened all of my CC that I cared to sort (some creators were a priority over others lol) and I would find things not tagged or mistagged as situation instead of party for example. I had to go through and manually tag all of the items correctly. I did that and remerged all the files but when I started my game, the cc still wasn't tagged correctly and only a handful of the 200 or more items I tagged for hot and cold weather actually showed up in the category it was supposed to. I'm running the season's batch fix now to see if that helps it.

@wj Batch fix is not in a test phase, this is what it supposed to tag. Read the notes here. Tagging cc has nothing to do with how slim feels wearing certain clothes, it’s for filter purposes only. So you can see all hair, bracelets and make up automatically when you click on hot/cold weather category, and don’t have to take hot/cold filter down. Whatever you put on sims in hot/cold categories will make your sim feel comfortable in corresponding weather.

no no, all color tags have to be fixed manually. Studio doesn't have eyes to recognize colors.

I think the batch fix option was added for 3.1.1.8 "Added a batch fix to add the Hot/Cold tags to clothes for seasons.", but the option "Season basic batch fix" only adds the hot weather tag to the mods. Is there any way to pick which tag I want to add using a batch fix? Maybe I'm missing something

Hi untitled1, running the Seasons basic batch fix will alter the following items in the indicated way:
Body type - both hot and cold tags Hair Brow ring, left Brow ring, right Lip ring, left Lip ring, right Nose ring, left Nose ring, right Ring finger, left Ring finger, right Glasses Necklace Wrist, left Wrist, right Lipstick Eyeshadow Eyeliner Blush
Tag - hot tag only Bikini top Bikini bottom Swimshorts bottom Swimwear bottom Fullbody swimsuit Fullbody short dress Bottom shorts Bottom skirt Top tanktop
Tag - cold tag only Socks
This matches the way that EA tagged their things. As you can see, only socks will receive the cold tag alone, while several items will receive both hot and cold tags. If you want to tag things that are not on the list above or you want to tag listed items differently than EA tags them, you need to do that manually using the My CC feature. As most people seemed satisfied with the tagging the batch fix applies, we did not add more features to the Seasons batch fix. If it is the case that many people feel more batch fix capability is needed for these changes, we can look into adding more features.
