Hello, not sure where to put this. I did send a message to Orange Mittens about this. I didn't see any information regarding McAfee warning of a virus on this forum, just info about Avast and Norton. This hasn't happened any other time I've downloaded Studio. I was wondering if there was some issue with the download. Feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

I will state this yet again as I have stated elsewhere in this forum and on our Tumblr. The Studio download has no viruses or malware. We check it periodically to be sure our download has not been highjacked and injected with viruses or malware (it has never been).
We do not support any particular anti-virus software. The comments in our installation help section related to anti-virus software were kindly contributed by others, and I'm happy to post any tips provided by people familiar with anti-virus software. However, these tips should not be taken to mean that we are an anti-virus software help desk. We cannot help you learn to manage your anti-virus software.
It is certainly the case, in my opinion, that frequently anti-virus software acts almost as a virus itself, inflicting panic on its users and making them feel they must continue paying for it to "save" themselves from non-existent threats. Nothing has convinced me of this more than seeing our completely virus-free application flagged for no reason. Sims 4 Studio is not alone in this, and the internet is full of complaints about the very poor discrimination abilities of anti-virus software. They seem to flag essentially everything to avoid having to learn how to identify the real thing. We cannot solve this problem. Only consumers can by complaining about this very poor service.
