so im super adhd and i was just wondering if the names of objects in blender matter? like could i rename an accessory for a pose from "s4studio_mesh_1" to "cigarette" without breaking it? or more importantly, can i rename rigs so i can differentiate easily.
basically, i just need a way to organize group poses lol.

I always suggest ppl to rename their groups correctly. this is solely for the purpose of having a clean workplace to avoid clutter. Same applies to deleting unnecessary elements such as boundaries (those circular mesh groups some get upon import) and rig copies. this helps when the item has more than one group, to see if you have the correct amount.
if you're just working with your group blend then of course you can re name your props. I do that too! but when saving, I still check that all individual rigs end up being named "rig" at the end.
