I've been working on this all weekend obsessively lol. I really just want to finish something before I give up for the 20 time on CC creating. I'm so ready to drop it though. I've never had to re-do so many times. Did the model about 8 times over due to various issues and now I've spent all day today re-doing the UV map over and over and I still can't get it right. Anyway I'm wondering what you guys think about the brass effect I tried to pull off here. I haven't even got to editing the shadow yet I cloned a solid block table so I need to do the four leg shadow thing and remove that dark shadow. Anyway there are two versions so far.
So her's the first one. I really want it shiny like super shiny. I like the legs but the orientation of the light/shadow on the horizontal frame looks dumb and I can't figure out how to make it change. I tried replacing the alpha with a texture but nothing seems to make a change. I just feel like the shadows look a bit goofy and muddy.
I'm leaning more towards this second one because the specular shadows don't look so over the top. Then there's a leg seam that I have to figure out LOL. I swear I didn't have it the first few times I mapped it but I dunno anymore.
Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated :/
