With seasons being out I obviously want my cc to be compatible but somehow some of my items don't get any snow on them and I don't know why? Like the original ballpit has snow on it but mine doesn't the same with a swingset If anyone can tell me how to allow snow build up I would be super gratefull <3 Blenderfile: www.simfileshare.net/download/683925/Package file: www.simfileshare.net/download/683924/

Taking a quick look at your ball pit package I can see that there is a reference to a SnowMap texture with instance DC48A4E44C401C06 that you appear to have made blank. This *may* be causing the issue but I'm not sure as I'm still new to working with custom snow cover.
What I can tell you is that the SnowMap is a texture that has no alpha and is black and white. If you take your diffuse texture as a base, create a layer that is 100% black. Anything that is black should not allow snow to show. Then using your diffuse as a guide, paint on with white where you would like snow to show up. You can use gradients to have the snow fade out at edges but it may take a lot of trial and error. I'm not sure what the game threshold for the texture is but the game only seems to show snow on the lighter shades of grey. Dark grey seems to get treated exactly the same as black and doesn't allow snow.
If you also notice, both your ballpit and swings DO have a sort of frost applied around the bottom where they touch the ground. This is created by the SnowHeightParam entry in the Model resource. This entry always has two values set and the first always seems to be "1". I've seen both "-5" and "-10" for the second entry on different objects. For my pet house object I had to set it to "-7". This part shouldn't be needed to fix your snow cover issue but may be useful to know should you want to change the ground frost effect at all.

Interesting.. I don't have seasons, but this is nice to know for future reference. Thank you Menaceman for answering this. I was wondering the same thing the creator was wondering when I looked at your ballpit. I thought may be she had clicked the tag that said no snow.
