Omg guys, i can't believe what i saw!!! It made me feel sad, angry and i think it is totally disrespectful! I do not usually reply to his tweets, just read what people tweeted to him so on. So today i just realized why there is no tweets of Guru Grant and then checked out and saw it. I truly dunno why he blocked me, i did not say bad smth. why i do also? there is no such a thing for it.
I support the sims 4; join their live streams, buying every pack so on. It made me feel sad eventually...
What do you think about it guys? How do you feel if it happened to you?
UPDATE: I do not talk with "Someone's BEHIND!" SimsGuru already knows my issue because I asked him "WHY" Also apologized if I was rude to him. BUT I do not reply or talked with him! PLUS: I do not say a bad thing for SimsGuru Grant. I just felt sad due to blocking me on twitter because I dunno the reason even HE DOESN'T KNOW.
Second, It's Chat Section, It's about Sims. And I "ASKED" you if the same thing happened to you, because he said I blocked a lot of people. Please read everything clearly then share your opinions without judging me.
Last update: Thank you to everyone who shared their opinions (opposite or not). I'm gonna delete the topic soon.
Can't wait to play the next update and Get Famous! ^^ Have a fun!

Considering the amount of poo they get from the community I'm not surprised, sims community treats maxis/ea like trash! Also people do not block for no reason unless mistaken identity happens.

They might try to consider the reason why would the sims community trash them all the time. They permanently face the comparison between Ts4 and all the other games, and when they half release stuff that were included before or whatever, well... people see they obviously are cash grabbing. And it's EA so cash grab and milking is a second nature.
And on topic being blocked by a sim guru, it is indeed weird. I'd say like Mysticmodder, either mistaken identity or whatever reason. I guess it kinda sucks if you're into tweeter though :s

Believe me, i did not say anything bad or was rude to him. I dunno the reason. Yesterday Someone said him "calmm..." he replied "I'm totally calm" , but it is obviously clear that he gets mad when people ask different things or requests more stuff for sims 4. I think it is natural because he answers all tweets as much as possible so people tweet all the time. But it is wrong bcs he can't stay calm and reply them cool way. There is a solution; do not read all tweets if you think pointless, or you 've already answered millions of times. This helps him not to block a lot of people.

As I said, I do not follow him for replying his tweets. I just read them for knowing upcoming news-updates. When i get excited i say "can't wait" blah blah that's it. Maybe he blocks me when i preferred Sims 3, but it is my opinion so. He compared Sims 4 and Sims 3 and i just said I think Sims 3 is better than Sims 4 for me. (but i don't think he blocks me for this bcs it's my opinion. Sims 3 is my first game i played so it is totally special one) Sims 3 also their game so why do they block me for it? This is the tweet i remember he may block me, but it is deff. nonsense lol everyone says their opinions there so.

This is the tweet i remember he may block me, but it is deff. nonsense lol everyone says their opinions there so. Probably because simgurugrant didn't work on sims3 and felt insulted that people constantly call sims 3 a better game (don't know for sure but seems a reasonable suggestion nor am I getting at you I'm just offering suggestions) I think a lot of people forget that the sims team is answerable to ea's corporate body they were the ones who probably wanted sims 4 online then probably backed out the plan they were also the ones who set the ridiculous deadlines and sales targets, if its not outselling or selling like a top notch first person shooter they think a game is a failed product, personally I love and miss sims 3's open word and caw and cast but I don't miss its buggy as all heck frame, finally have you tried apologizing to simgurugrant? I'm pretty sure that would get you unblocked, I don't use twitter so I wouldn't know if you can be unblocked but it might be worth a try if it means a lot to you .

What does this subject has to do with Sims 4 Studio? Just wondering... Well it is the chat section so it doesn't need to be related to s4s And back on point I really do not believe one should go apologize in regard to something they have no idea about. From his reply it seems the guy indiscriminately bans lots of people cause he doesn't want to be bothered. Sounds like an ass to me :s Sad for the twitter updates but I would certainly not sweat it in the end. You can subsribe to other twitter users who just RT his tweets maybe.

Chat section or not. This is not a "regular" chat subject. You guys are discussing a persons (Twitter) action behind his back coming up with assumptions without even knowing the real reasons which I find respectless toward the person. How would you feel if your personality turns into a chat discussion behind your back? And you are really wondering why they act the way they act? A SimGuru has to deal with millions of people each day, and are getting insulted almost just as much. The action therefore does not surprise me if it's done just to prevent any further "unnecessary" discussions. They are only humans too, ya know.

Both Zelrish and LuvMySims are correct.
I think Zelrish has a very good point, in this is a general chat, so it does not have to be s4s related, but with that said.. Where i think LuvMySims is spot on, you just do not talk behind someone's back, in a abbusive way, or while venting, it doesn't matter. this person has no way of defending him or in some cases her against this.
Where Zelrish is on point with the actual site rules, LMS is on point when it comes to decency.

Hi all, I would like to make the following comment to clear up questions that have been raised about this thread.
First, SimsGuruGrant is a public representative of EA when he is on Twitter using his EA title "SimGuru." I think people have the right to comment on the behavior of EA's employees that are carrying out public relations with the Sims 4 community. I have underlined this to highlight the distinction between discussing someone's professional activities and their personality, character, or other elements about that person.
Second, at Studio forums, we expect people to keep it civil. If people begin calling SimGuruGrant rude names or making personal comments about him that are unrelated to his work as an EA representative, these posts will be removed, and the poster warned.
A public forum is not speaking behind someone's back - everyone should keep in mind that what they say here is public. Comments expressing an opinion about how EA runs its Twitter accounts through its SimGurus are fine but should remain civil and on point. Abusive comments of a personal nature are not welcome. If an EA employee wants to address the comments, they're perfectly welcome to post here in this public chat area, and the staff here will ensure that all exchanges with that person are as respectful as we expect all exchanges between members to be.

... is mainly what I meant. Thank you for the post! Although this is a puplic forum, the post are still made "behind someones back" the person does not know (yet) and calling him or any kind of people, (no matter of their employment) "rude" names isn't really civil IMO.

i think we are all entitled to our own opinions and we have the freedom to express it how we choose. being a public representative of a game means you will get a lot of backlash for the things you do and the things you don't do. if he would rather hide behind a blanket and avoid these criticisms, that tells us as the community that they don't really care about how we feel. but in the end, he does have the right to block and unblock who he wishes. if he blocked you then he blocked you; not really anything you can do about it other than ask him to unblock.

I'm sure there are more important things in life to worry about other than just a game related thang. One day hopefully the OP get there too.

LuvMySimz, of course there are more important things in life than a game. However a game can take a good place. ... I am now old and, believe me, I had to worry about some important things during my life, but it doesn't prevent me to love the Sims and to be interested in the Sims community. If I had a twitter account and if someone blocked one of my posts I would try to understand why he (she) blocked me. I can easily understand that Ricciricciricci was unpleasantly surprised and asked other studio members in the "general chat" section of the forum.
