I did the fix and hairs are working again but my other issue is that hair swatches at the top are all just grayed out. Is there a way to fix that?

Ok, so kinda weird but The same happened to me, yes, I did all of that "allow cc for random" but I lost some files. One of my favorite hairs is gone! :( Did it occur to someone else too?

Idk if its the same problem I had, but it sounds like it. The hair isn't "gone" it just isn't showing up under the proper tag anymore. Take off all the tags except custom content, you may be able to find it, but don't be alarmed if it is still broken. That's the problem I had with the few "hidden" hairs I found. What I did to fix them was redownload them and run the batch fix again on just those files before adding them back to my hair file. It did work, but it may not be full proof because NOTHING is working on my toddler/children hair.

EA is planning on fixing this problem in an upcoming patch. They have reported they are testing a fix already. Please everyone, be patient and let them do what they need to do. Once they patch, this problem should go away.

I'm having the exact problem. It seems to only be alpha hairs. I tested out clothes and they're fine. Really hop it's fixable, I'd hate to have to start over in the hair department! :'( It's happening to me for my maxis match hairs, too. It works fine on swatches that go with base game colors but if it's any kind of color that doesn't match any of the 18 original maxis colors, whether the hair is mm or alpha, it won't change or rarely it changes to black or the closest original maxis color. It also affects eyebrows and any eye colors.

I was able to fix most of my adult hairs by using the "allow for random" batch fix, but I noticed it didn't fix any toddler/child hair.
I just wanted to know if anyone was having this issue?
I know they're working on a patch to fix it, but this is kind of upsetting. Right now i'm just kind of fixing townies in my new save and can't do any sort of customization.

Hi, my computer recently (3 months ago) got fixed because it crashed. Everything is fine now, but when I started to play around with my new CC hair/eyebrows, they won't change color! Only about 3 out of 20 change color! (not including the eyebrows) Anyway could it be because of my computer or is it a bigger problem? When I was reading other's problems, it sounds like we are hoping that the Sims update will fix this. Any ideas? Help?!

I noticed that TSR put out a "fix" for hair that people got via that site. It didn't work and it's essentially downloading another version of Studio that is super wonky. Studio's allow hair fix is the only that that even remotely works on alpha swatches.

Just a heads up: Maxis has just released a patch, and it fixed the CC swatches on my end, at least on some CC beards and eyes I had.

Crin @ctrinrict has retwitted Please be aware that this patch does not fix already lost Father Winter Babies (I checked) or messed up ages (I checked). You will need to load pre-GF-save backups to get those back or use MCCC to fix your ages.

I'm not sure what bug you're referring to there are a few and some have been around for a while and there are work arounds if you take the time to research them. If you don't want alpha hair on people you'll need to run the disallow for random batch fix only on the hair packages. If you're having issues with something else....
Standard things to do is to first back up your saves, tray files, and mod files. clear out the mods folder (since you've backed it up...) Then delete everything that has the word "Cache" on it in your game. Repair the game via Origin (again without mods) and test your game without CC. If you experience your issues without CC then you really need to get in touch with the EA answers headquarters and report your issues to them. They may not see your issues on a forum that they're not in charge of. They can't fix things they're not aware of. They're going to ask you to test it with and without CC and within an old game and a new game and screenshots help them out. They may ask you to upload a broken family or house so they can try to replicate what you describe. The more info you can provide, the easier it can be for them to help and offer up suggestions of things you haven't tried.
If you want to try with CC then you're going to need to try a 50 50 method until you find the culprit CC or redownload everything and give it a shot or play without CC until said bugs are seemingly fixed.
Regardless of the decision, you should always regularly back up your save games, mods and tray files. Games and PCs in general can get corrupted for many reasons and backing up important documents is just the smart thing to do.
Good luck and I hope some of this helps you figure out your issue.

I only noticed it was broken for myself after I updated to Seasons yesterday, and however some of the hair still worked, upon changing hair styles for sims, I killed the custom swatches I had for them as well.
I batched all my mods to the seasons patch but it is still broken. :'(
At this point, I'm inclined to want to go back two updates and move my mods there until this stuff is fixed.
