I have had a few particular old mods that I sadly, can't use anymore since the july patch.
What they are: Simmythesim's no perish food mod-I don't know how to update it but the first time I put it in after the july patch it did that weird thing when you put outdated stuff in the game. This one I adore so much because it completely takes off the timer which in my case was a must have as it stopped fish from spoiling period.
Drink drank drunk mod- This one used to be my favorite watching sims act super weird without having to download a particular adult mod.
Neither of the creators of these mods are active so, if anyone wants to try to update please do let me know. I myself am not really good at that and I did figure that maybe someone on this forum would like to take a shot at it.
