So I have been trying to remove accessories from random townies so they stop holding or wearing ridiculous things when they are generated . I got most of the things except for when these townies show up to work around the community. Particularly bartenders always show up with a few random accessories that I can NOT remove, they aren't holding the accessory in CAS but rather its like its part of their 'career' outfit. Is there a way to edit or remove these accessories from career outfits?

I've actually just discovered this myself yesterday and have come to the conclusion that the "allow for random" part flag (and looks like probably the gender flag as well) seems to get bypassed when the sims are generating "Situation" outfits. I had a sim appear in a situation outfit with a goofy CC accessory(Mortimer as a patient in the hospital gown, with a CC garter belt on LOL) and I double checked the file and that accessory was in fact flagged not for random and it was also set to female only. I recall some other times with males wearing female outfits/accessories for situation outfits. When sims are wearing situation outfits you can't take them into cas and edit the situation outfits. All you see is the standard categories (everyday, formal etc.) If you use MCCC there are a couple options in there that allow you to remove accessories and such.
In the case of NPC's like bartenders, barista's or stall vendors and for active careers Nurses, Doctors, Police Officers etc. The outfit they are wearing is actually not a true "Career outfit" in the same way as your own career outfit on an active sim. According to MC Dresser they are labeled as situation outfits. Even if you modify the "Career outfit" on one of those sims it has no impact on the current "Situation outfit" they are wearing on the job.

Yes Kralore, that is exactly the situation im having . I disallow random for all cc in the game ( save for the hair right now due to the glitch). I guess, though, it doesn't seem to matter cause it's some kind of issue with the 'situation' tag. I've always had weird outfits at festivals, i honestly hate going to them because sims i spend so much time on to look a certain way just disregard their sense of style completely when they go lol. But I hate that it happens to bartenders too, i dont want to edit the bartenders every time i go somewhere so they aren't wearing a ridiculous item. Guess this isn't so much an issue that studio can batch fix though. I should have included in my first post that I did in fact already tried to batch fix this issue and it had not resolved it but I appreciate the help,LuvMySimz, all the same.

@ sammoyke ..... For situation outfits used at the festivals, if you use MC Command Center and click on a computer, go to MC Command Center/MC Dresser/Replace Situation Outfits. This will allow you to specify for most of the festivals and also when its raining, what outfit you want sims to be wearing instead of the random situation outfit. You can set it for any of the standard categories like everyday, formal etc.
@ luvmysimz..... Thank you for that link to the tutorial. I didn't realize there was more I could do to control the randomness. I will definitely be making use of that tutorial on any future CC items I come across on npc's.
