As the title says, I need some help to fix my CC tables for cats to be able to sit on it.
I'm pretty sure that some of you know that cats can independently sit on surefaces like counters, fridge and coffee tables. When you click on the surefaces, even a pie menue opens where you can direct your cat to sit on plus a few more options.
I have some older CC coffee tables where the pie menue does not appear, only explore. Cats can not be directed to sit on my CC tables, nor can they independently use them to sit on 'cause they never do. Only on EA coffee tables. Now I would like to fix all my CC coffee tables so the cats can sit on them also.
What I did so far: Imported rig/slot from EA useable coffee table just to make sure Compared Object Definition TuningIDs and Ojects Calaog data with EA table / they are all the same
Still the cat can only explore the table.
What else do I have to check/fix/import to my CC tables to enable this function for cats?
Any help and pointing me into the right direction would be very much appreciated.
ETA: I managed to fix one table, but now the cat is hovering a bit above the table.
All slots are close to the sureface as they should be so, that can't be it. I assume it is the footprint. Some tables have different/lower hights.
ETA 2: it isn't the footprint hight either...
Still wondering what exactly controls the cat sitting spots on tables.

I would assume it is similar to how the height for cats sitting on beds is controlled.
This was the reply I received from peacemaker-ic when I asked about floating cats on beds over on tumblr.
Its the footprint. When you open the max height value for linked footprints there are now 2 instances; one for the max height of the mesh, and one for the max height of the blankets. It is not obvious which is which (since when you import a mesh S4S changes both values to the same number), but change both max height values to the height of the blanket to fix the issue. If your bed has an embedded footprint, just open up object polygons and chnge the max height value in both of those instances as well.

Cats being able to sit on an object is governed by both tuning and the footprint (max height). The only objects with specific rigging for pets to use is seating. So i can tell you it is 100% the footprint resource that determines the height at which a cat sits on the coffee table. What is complicating issue is you are updating older content. Generally all I need to do to make an object work is import the mesh and that updates the object bounds which in turn makes the object usable for pets. So what I would try is importing your mesh again to update those bounds since it doesn't look like you have tried that yet. I would do this after importing the footprint resource of a new coffee table to make sure anything changed since making it is now included.
I also had an issue checking this in my game just now where one household the cat (when controlled with the playable pets mod) would only investigate a coffee table (both cc and Maxis) while another household the cat would sit on the surface. I wouldn't say that is a cc issue if they wont interact with the object but may be determined by a trait? Or perhaps items are too close for the animation? Anyway, I hope the suggestion helps.
Thanks peacemaker . I did all as suggested, but nothing changed. Maybe I should mention that the tables in my pictures are of lower hight than the regualar coffee tables. If I import the footprint of a regular coffee table which has a max hight 0.5, both polygon max hight 0.8, seems to be the wrong footprint for the lower tables. So I thought. Then I imported a footprint that had much lower max hights, but didn't work either. I also have a few surefaces that are bit higher than a regualar table which makes the cat sink in a bit. I tried to manipulate the footprints max hight as well as the two polygon instances, but nothing changed. Cat still hovering above the table. The cats I have in a few households are all independently sitting on surefaces without directing them with the mod. I managed to fix a few CC tables just by importing the footprint of a regular EA coffee table and now they also use these independently, but hight is still a problem on lower tables. No clue why the changes on the footprint max hights show no effect.
ETA: Maybe it helps if I point out which one of a lower CC coffee table I'm talking about. This is the original -> Severinka's Coffee table
