So I followed the tutorial to make default replacement eyes. I chose "Override" for each EA original eye color and created a package for each color but when I put them in the game it only shows one single square of color and I can not change it since there are no other choices...any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Hi victoriafortune, welcome to Studio forums Which version of Studio are you using for this. Unfortunately, the Love version has a bug which got past community testing that causes a problem with default replacements. We are currently testing a fix for that bug in the beta version Joy. It sounds like this could possibly be the problem going on with your item. If that's the case this isn't because of something you're doing wrong. To fix it you can try the beta test of Joy or you can give this project a day or two and the fix will be put into the new version of Love after we know for sure it will work correctly.

Here's a tutorial that shows how to make a recolor of custom content. It will work whether you made the content or someone else did. If you want the recolor to work without the original item in the Sims 4/Mods folder (your game Mods folder), then select create 3D mesh instead. This will cause the mesh to be included in the .package along with the textures. You won't have to do anything differently after that selection.

Hi I was just wondering I'm deciding to add color swatches to a Custom Hair. I just want to add swatches to the ones the creator already has. So when I make the Package to add recolor swatches it shows all of hers as well. Can I delete her swatches to save room and just add the the colors I'm putting into mines? I mean when it shows in CAS well it still show hers and mines as well or do I still need to keep hers in there with mines?

themusesway, yes, you safely can delete and add any swatches. Make sure you don't delete anything from Warehouse tab. Change/add/delete swatches only on Studio tab.

If I want to recolor a custom content CAS item but include the mesh (for example, have the recolor work without the recolor being in my Mods folder), which option would I choose?

I went there before... What I don't know is how to actually recolor the item and where, I am sorry I didn't explain very well:
I created a color palette on S4S and I wanted to use it to recolor. I did a simple recolor using GIMP and I wanted do to another recolor but with the color palette I made in the S4S.
Is that possible??

I did a simple recolor using GIMP and I wanted do to another recolor but with the color palette I made in the S4S. Is that possible?? it is by extracting the Hex color code or RGB values from the S4S color pallet and then past it into the color selector from GiMP. S4S uses both RGB and Hex (RGB looks like: 0,125,255, Hex looks like #000000). When you have selected it press ctrl+c to copy it, go to gimp, go to your color selection, and fill in the hex or rgb values, it will match the colors from your s4s color pallete so you can make the recolors. Hope this helps.

diegovainilla, you need to clone a new .package as a CAS part swatch and import all textures in that .package.
