Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has cracked the concept of muti-layerable makeup? As in, wearing two "Face Paints" at once (for example a face paint for eyes and a face paint for a scar). I remember for TS2 it was pretty easy, but I haven't figured it out for TS4. Just curious! Thanks guys!

Face Paint is intended for whole face makeup, such as clowns and animal faces, the same as real life face-painting. Not sure what you mean by face paint for eyes - do you mean the eyes themselves, eyebrows, mascara, eyeliners, or eyeshadow? All of these have separate types in TS4, so can co-exist with one another. Scars belong on the appropriate Skin Detail for their desired location (Skin Detail is the equivalent of TS3's Topical Details, i.e. single-point details, and should never have been used for whole-body overlays), as these are permanent like tattoos, not temporary like makeup, and of course co-exist with all makeup and also other Skin Details for other locations. For a full list of all BodyTypes, see the ExcludeBodyPartFlags dropdown in the caspart Grid in the current version of s4pe. You won't find them all in Sims4Studio, because it can only show examples that have thumbnails, and some don't - it also can't show CAS items that don't have casparts, notably default skin textures and tone shades. So, no, Sims can't have two face paints at the same time, but can have custom eyes and eye makeup at the same time as scars, because they are different types, none of them face paint. Hope this helps.

Hi! Multi-layer is not possible yet for Ts4. Either make-up or accessories are set in a way that only one of the type can be worn. Right now you could try to use those categories that are avaible but not used. You could set the scars to be a skin detail. I know that that category has for example the sub category mole left side and mole right side. You could set that an eye make ( that's not eye liner or eye shadow) to fall under one of this categories. Same thing goes for face scars. To achieve multi-layer for real we need a core mode like in ts3 that gave us more option that the game wasn't design to offer such as to wear 2 parts of the same type.

At the moment creators almost always set their custom skins as Skin Details and their eyes as Face Paint (myself included). It doesn't leave a lot else to work with. I'm hanging out for the mod that opens up the layerable makeup option!
