Hey guys, so I made my first hair yesterday and I'm having issues with the texture. The hair looks fine in S4S, but in-game there are weird green lines and parts of darker/pixelated texture (see pics) Same issue in both CAS and live mode. my textures are 2048x4096, and i currently only have a diffuse map as I don't want to make the rest until this issue is sorted. Any suggestions? Let me know if you need more pics or the .package file. Thanks, Seb. As you can see, the issue doesn't show up in S4S This is the texture I am using, from JenniSims Sorry for the huge pics!

Are you saving your textures as PNGs or DDS files? The blotchiness on your textures are artifacts from the file compression. Sometimes PNGs work best and sometimes DDS works best. Try both file types to see if you get any better results.

Also, have in mind that even if you use HQ textures the game will resize them to 1024x2048 if you don't have HQ settings enabled (edited in graphic rules file at the game path). Studio will show up the textures in the size you imported. Even though many creators use HQ texture for high quality items you shouldn't rely on this size as the only one where the item looks good. You don't share the file so we can't look further, if you do someone can take a look.

Like the others mentioned above these are artifacts made by file compression. What I do to remove them (mind you I use photoshop not sure about the other alternatives) I go to Filter -> Noise -> Reduce Noise. By playing around with these settings you can completely remove these and smoothen your texture a bit. Just make sure to have the "Remove JPEG Artifact" option ticked!

I've been looking for a fix for this forever. Thanks for the tip. This legit needs to be more known.
