hi! you have to select all the outer row of vertices and resize it down so that it stinks into the head a bit.

Yep! exactly, you can do the same thing. If that doesn't fix it, you can delete the skin parts and ONLY leave the actual hair mesh since the locks are drawn into the scalp texture regardless if there's mesh or not.
